Mr. Artman has compiled a fascinating book. Painstakingly researched, light-hearted presentation. Very enjoyable reading.

Stay Toasty, June 10, 2011
This review is from: Toasters 1909-1960: A Look at the Ingenuity and Design of Toaster Makers (Paperback)
This is a very fun large-format reference book on electric toasters. The author includes many examples, organized by how they operate. (eg. Perchers, Pinchers, Flatbeds, Sliders and Drive Thru's.) Each example is photographed in black and white and is captioned with witty comentary. The author clearly loves his toast. My only small complaint is that the toasters are not listed in an index by make or model. This would help whever i find a new toaster i want to read about. This book rides in my car, Toaster.
