Received this as a Christmas gift for our office. Normally I would say, "It's a gift, I'll deal with it." -- But this thing is so bad... gift or not... it's just crazy.

Cannot use grinder function. We (3 of us) have read the book and followed the instructions EXACTLY... but coffee grounds still get into actual carafe... and spill all over the inside of the actual unit causing a huge grotesque mess. The carafe itself is poorly designed with a small spout, so even very careful pouring causes coffee to drip down the side onto to the floor each time you pour.

Extremely slow, as well. Have seen fifteen-dollar Wal-Mart cheap-a-roo specials that brew at least 2-3 times as fast as this does. You'd better program this thing to brew each morning before you actually want your coffee... you definitely want to set it to start brewing at least 20 minutes before you plan on having your first cup!! Lots of waiting... waiting... waiting... waiting...

I keep wondering if the person that gifted this to us was angry at us for some reason. LOL

I have bought THREE grinder coffe makers just like this one...each with a different brand name. NONE OF THEM WORK. They work for a few months and then they start to leak water at the filtering section. They also vapor up and everything is filled with steam, including the grinder. The ground coffee clogs and does not make it to the filter. I have spent close to $300.00 looking for a good coffee grinder/maker. I am about to give up. I am buying two separate units.
