We needed a warming plate/buffet Server mainly for household use such as breakfast and this one seems (and still seams) to be the best one. Needed one that was fairly large (enough for 8" pancakes or waffles, bacon, ETC. The others available seem a bit small so we got this one.

There is no variable temperatures (you just plug it in and wait 9 minutes, it really doesn't take 9 minutes, more like 4, And it gets VERY warm!)

You'll need about 30 minutes to an hour to peel off all the blue cellophane protection that is on the mirror-like surface of the box frame.

I noticed just after putting the trays on the warming plate (I put them on the warming plate like 4 minutes after plugging it in) that the bottoms of the Chafing trays already warped! This is my very first Buffet server so I'm not exactly sure if this is normal or not. That did not seem to matter though, still got very hot. just making an observation.

My only real complaint (the reason for 4 stars VS 5: The plastic lids!!! Just unpacking the server the lids became scratched! And they are thin too, won't be long before they have cracks im almost sure of that.

Other than that, I really like it!

I would still recommend this product.

Used the Toastess for the first time for our family Xmas breakfast...I especially liked having the cordless feature. The scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage and muffins were all kept warm throughout the meal...for the first time I enjoyed the meal without the usual trips back to the oven for warm refills. And it was the Toastess with the mostess because it has two large and two half-sized servers for added flexibility.
