this item is most convenient if you have an outlet close by your toilet. it does heat and the 3 different heat levels are nice. though it does not fit the whole seat. it is hard to get it where you want it. most of the seat is heated but not all of it so you still get cold on the outside or the inside. also because it is held in place by velcro tabs that stick to the toilet and the pad is heated it causes the sticky stuff to be soft and will slide around. i am constantly readjusting the pad to find the best position for it and to adjust to the sliding sticky pads. the heat problem would vary depending on your toilet seat shape. its a one size fits most. i think it was designed for the very circular seats as the oblong ones tend to have cold outside edges.. all in all it does heat your seat and is great not to have to sit on cold, just dont forget to put the top seat down every time you use the toilet.

This product does keep your tush toastie. As long as you remember to put the seat down. My parents do not heat their bathroom and whenever I visit, I dread having to sit down. It is soo cold in there. I bought this as a gift and we all love it. It warms the seat nicely.

The product attaches to the inside of the lid to warm the seat when the lid is down. One issue you may run into is that if you live with someone who forgets to put the lid down, the product won't work as anything but a back warmer. Since the pad heats the surface of the seat, once you sit down, the warmth is pretty much a 5-10 second pleasure. The real issue I have with the product is the temperature control settings. There are three to choose from: 1.hardly enough to warm the seat, 2. burning hot, 3. I haven't tried three because I am afraid of melting the lid to the toilet. For the price, I would hope that there was something better than the Toastie Tushie, but I could not resist buying this because the name is so appealing... damn marketing!

I have a small bathroom in the basement of my home which stays cold because of the cinder block walls. My daughter has her bedroom down there and is always complaining how cold the seat is in the morning. So I bought her this for Christmas and it works! Has a nice long cord, plastic clips to hold the cord in place and 3 settings for how warm you want the seat. When you lift the seat the pad stays on the inside of the top(using velcro) and keeps your back warm, bonus as she says. Have found you really only need the low setting and the other women in the house agree it works very well and now want another for the upstairs bathroom. Highly recommend, easy to install, took 2 mins, really.

I ordered 2 of these for an anniversary gift for my southern husband (who transplanted up north for me) and we LOVE it. Granted, we've only had them installed 1 day, but what a difference a day can make! Super easy installation. Took me less than 5 minutes per toilet. This morning we both got a pleasant surprise when we sat down. I highly recommend this item for anyone that hates a cold toilet seat!

Living in an old drafty Victorian in Indiana, our unheated upstairs bathroom is quite miserable to visit in the middle of the night. My elderly mother gets up several times a night and the cold seat was a rude awakening. Mom heard Whoopi Goldberg talking about her heated toilet and was positive it was something that the average person couldn't afford.
Upon searching on the internet I found that there was, indeed, affordable heated toilet seats, but the downside was that the seat was the soft vinyl seats that my mother hates. Then I came across this product, read the customer reviews and purchased one of these covers for our upstairs bathroom. Keeping it on the lowest setting with the lid down is perfect! Mom no longer dreads her nightly trips to the bathroom. I'm planning on buying a second one for our downstairs bathroom and have recommended this product to a others who suffer from cold bathroom visits.

The only thing that kept me from giving this all the stars is that it does make a slightly annoying buzzing sound on occasion.
