I've owned this toaster for a year and a half, using 3+ times per week with no problems. It toasts consistently and is easy to clean. The slots are even wide enough to toast bagels and thick-sliced bread.

I have had 3 different Toastmasters & 2 out of three are bad toasters I started with a two slice toaster & it went out after a lot of use & about 7 years I thought it was a good toaster so when it went out I went out & bought a new Toastmaster cause I had good luck with the first one. When I bought the second one I again bought a two slice toaster it would not cook the toast right & it took for ever to get two slices of toast out of it so after two years I went out & bought a 4 slice toaster & its terrible the one side takes about 5 mins to cook the toast & the other side burns the toast yes they both have their owne settings one you have to have on dardest & it might brown the toast ok & that is the side that takes about 5 min to cook & the other one you might get ok toast out of it the first time & the setting is set real low but when you try to use it again I will burn the toast. So I have not been happy with toastmaster for a long time & would not tell anyone to get that brand. Thank you, Very Up set.

After owning for one week and using only about 15 times it no longer holds the toast down, and is therefore completely unusable. Honestly, who would expect that nowdays you'd have to research before you bought a toaster? It's a TOASTER for crying out loud! How hard is it to make a toaster? Definitely stay away from ALL toastmaster products. Any company with a complete lack of product testing is bound to have other products that are just as bad as this worthless toaster.

Very nice toaster. Looks good and works well. Even toasting. Recieved this toaster very fast.I trust in the name toastmaster. So far working well.

Doesn't toast all the way through, AND BROKE AFTER 2 USES! Had to return it. Don't bother with it. Buy something else.

Bottom line was the levers that you push down to toast the toast (or whatever you are toasting) didn't stay down. : (
Had to return it. I should have paid attention to the other reviews. Returned it.

Not happy with this toaster. The levers are not easy to manage. The heating elements do not put off enough heat to toast the bread. It must be on dark to toast most breads.

I've had this toaster for at least 4 or 5 years. Use it almost daily and have never had a problem. It toasts well and consistently. If I want something really dark, I may have to toast it twice, but I tend to like my stuff only mildly toasted. I'm not sure what happened to the reviewers who rate it awful, but like I said, I use it on a very regular basis, have used it hundreds of times, and it works great!

Looks like it's a nice toaster but don't touch it on the outside walls or risk third degree burns. Then you'll get a half raw and half burnt English Muffin and that's after toasting it twice. Why can't they make a decent toaster anymore? I can't find one so I guess I'll have to spend upwards of $50 to get something decent? I give up!

I've had a Toastmaster toaster since 1972, and it recently quit working. Over the years I have bought other brands as gifts and they don't last or toast evenly. This one does. A couple of years ago, I bought a Toastmaster for my daughter and she loves it, and says it works as well as our old Toastmaster. This is the third one that I've purchased over the last several years and it doesn't cost any more than the inferior name brands. I wouldn't even consider buying another brand. Great product Toastmaster.
