Unlike the previous reviewer, I don't really have a problem cleaning this - you really just need to wipe it down with a wet cloth. I happened to get this at Target for $8, so considering the price I paid, I don't really have anything bad to say about it. My only warning is that if you are cooking for more than 1-2 people, you'll probably want to get a model that makes more than 2 waffles at a time. Also, even though this is nonstick, I know people sometimes still grease things like this - DON'T unless your aim is for soft waffles. I find you get crispier waffles if you don't grease/spray it and they don't stick (though they are a tiny bit harder to get out, but just pull a bit with a fork and it's no problem). Overall, while this certainly isn't top of the line, it suits my needs just fine. Also, I only use this once every few months so I don't know how well it would hold up to daily/weekly use.

My Toastmaster Waffle Baker is the best thing ever for making perfect waffles. By the time I'm through mixing my batter, it's already heated up and ready to go. It's very easy to clean and the slim design is perfect for storing right on my countertop. When it's standing up, it's so cute that it almost looks like a purse. We just love it... did I mention it makes delicious waffles too? My daughter liked ours so much that she wanted one for Christmas. Highly recommended and what a great price for this wonderful little appliance.

I have owned this waffle maker for two years and I love it. Waffles are very easy and do not stick if you do NOT use a spay oil. I have even used gluten-free mixes (which typically stick) and the waffles do not stick. I am getting one for my daughter. I don't know what these reviewers are doing to create such a mess. Maybe they are over-filling. I have even made blueberry waffles and had no stick, no mess.

The words "easy clean" written on the surface of the waffle maker seem like a cruel joke. If you have ANY spillover (and you will, because there is no reservoir to catch spillover), you will be scraping gunk out of crevices with a toothpick or tiny paring knife for at least 20 minutes, followed by cleaning the entire outside of the machine, including the power cord. I gave it two stars because the waffle iron does work, makes nice waffles, and has lasted 9 years with occasional use. I don't like to use it often because it is such a pain to clean. At least it wasn't expensive.

It is like they are laughing in our faces when they put "easy to clean" on the waffle maker because they have to know how difficult it is to clean they made the product, my girlfriend stayed up half the night trying to clean this antichrist of an appliance and it was to no avail. She said you had to wait for all the gunk to dry and then she had to use a toothpick to try and pry out all the left-over remnants. If i could give this product zero stars i would.
