5.0 out of 5 stars Our favorite waffle maker
I LOVE appliances. I'm picky about my electronic toaster, and pump style espresso machine, and we have owned several of these simple Toastmaster waffle machines for years. We keep 2 busy at once. We make a lot of waffles, and I don't know how anyone could find a better value, with great quality, than THIS.

3.0 out of 5 stars Stopped working after one year
I got this as a gift for my wedding a year ago. It worked excellently for a year, then one day, I went to turn it on and NOTHING - not even an attempt at lighting up or working in any way. So it just stopped working for no reason. It was too bad because when it worked, it made great waffles, and it was nice to be able to make two at a time, so my husband and I could...

We make a lot of waffles, and I don't know how anyone could find a better value, with great quality, than THIS.

The tefon works well- we use less oil than our recipe says. But if you overfill it a lot, and it gets all over the white, well then that will take a little scrubbing with a scrub pad when the cooking is over.

No temp adjustment, but that's never been a problem for us. 3.5 min is a light waffle, and 5 min is a dark & crispy waffle.

Thought this might be fun to use with my kids - they love waffles and I've always thought the frozen mini-waffles were ok but not great. Followed the directions to oil the griddle and then started with the first batch of Bisquick waffles. Easy and good and the kids thought it was cool. All you have to do is heat it till a green light goes on, pour the batter and close and wait till the red light switches to green. Turning it off means simply unplugging it. It is small and stores turned on it's side so it's very easy to pop into a cabinet and then find it when we want waffles. Price performer.

We've owned this one for years now. We're not major waffle makers, but every now and then on a lazy sunday it's fun to whip this one out. I'm thinking of getting another one so I can whip up 4 waffles at a time, I'd recommend getting the larger one right off the bat...

The only problem I've had is the little catch broke which holds it shut when stored - hasn't been a problem, still works like a champ and it's cheap... You can use pancake mix, waffle mix or bisquick. And like the other reviewer said - 3 min light waffle, or 5 min crispy...

I also don't use very much oil - just spray a little pam to start and it's good for the rest of the batch...

It was too bad because when it worked, it made great waffles, and it was nice to be able to make two at a time, so my husband and I could both eat, instead of waiting for another one to cook up before sitting down together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crisp and Golden, January 24, 2007
This review is from: Toastmaster TWB2REGT Waffler (Kitchen)
My Toastmaster Waffler makes the perfact waffles. The waffles toast up and get crispy and golden brown. It's an excellent choice for a waffle maker. Anyone will be very pleased to own A Toastmaster Waffler. Clean up is a snap. You just take a damp rag and wipe and you're done. I just love mine and I'm very pleased with it. Thank You for making such a GREAT machine.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it, May 23, 2010
This review is from: Toastmaster TWB2REGT Waffler (Kitchen)
It used it for the first time yesterday. The unit does not get hot enought to make the waffle crisp no matter how long you leave it in. Every waffle comes out soggy. Even for $19.95 it's not worth buying.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money on this brand., August 30, 2009
This review is from: Toastmaster TWB2REGT Waffler (Kitchen)
Don't waste your money on this brand. Spend a few extra dollars and buy a model with removable griddles. Toastmaster waffle irons are hard to clean. If you put in too much batter or the iron overflows on the side, you'll have a long project ahead of you to clean it. Chunks of batter get stuck inside the iron and you may find yourself taking the whole thing apart to attempt to clean it. I put my Toastmaster waffle iron where it belongs - in the garbage - and bought a much better model from a different manufacturer.

Worked well, too small for a family... you'd be cooking waffles all day at two at a time!

I bought this in Feb 2005 for $7.50 at Target, and the lights went out 6 months later. The whole thing died today. It made good waffles while it lasted, but I'm used to appliances lasting several years, not 10 months.

What a disappointment. The waffles did not brown evenly and parts did not brown at all. Even my three year old was turned off by the look of the finished waffle. Now that's bad. The directions state the the green light goes on and off during cooking so you really don't know when its done.
I did use a recipe for waffles and did not have sticking problems that was my only plus.
