This review is from: The Tobacco Dependence Treatment Handbook: A Guide to Best Practices (Paperback)
I find this 365-page manual an excellent sourcebook for anyone considering working in the smoke cessation field. It has guidelines for facilitators, behavioral interventions, lots of facts and figures about the extent of nicotine dependence. It offers over 100 contemporary references, and, on the practical side are the numerous questionnaires and handout sheets that can give you a jumping off point for creating your own support materials for training personnel and for distributing to smokers themselves whom you are helping during their quitting process. Highly recommended.
