Beautiful colors, whimsical animal expressions.

The floss IS organized... they aren't labeled on the card, but the floss is in order by the list on the pattern.

I found this to be a very easy cross-stitch pattern to follow.

I have done many counted cross stitch projects. I have never seen such a small pattern. It is impossible to see the symbols especially since many of them look alike. Also, the pattern is black and white which adds to the problem. I was forced to scan the pattern into my computer and blow it up, one section at a time.

On a positive note, the finished picture looks great....colorful and cute.

Bought kit to make for my 1st grandson. Loved the design and colors; however, it was more complicated and unhelpful than it needed to be. Colors are in order contained on cardboard notched w/holes for each, but they do not run true: some do not appear as the name implies and the variation in light/non-light shading is not evident for others. The pattern/color key was over complicated: 31 symbols (numbers would have been easier to follow) printed in black & white of lower quality, made for nightmarish counting and second-guessing. The instructions were minimal and the stitch examples were useless, since they were so dark you couldn't distinguish the stitch from the cloth. I ended up having to buy a 2nd kit, since I was committed to this design and the first cloth I worked on had become damaged 1/4 way thru (Amazon kit cost w/out shipping & taxes less than buying replacement cloth & floss). 3-4 of the colors were so off, that I had to break up those stitches by the 2 shade variations.
Perhaps I bit off more than I could chew on this kit, since I've done crewel for the last 30 years and this is my first x-stitch - how hard could it be. I ended up scanning and enlarging sections of chart as another reviewer suggested and this helped immensely.

After reading the other reviews, I was super nervous about buying this kit. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The floss IS organized... they aren't labeled on the card, but the floss is in order by the list on the pattern. If you just count in order, it's totally easy. Some of the symbols are a little hard to differentiate, but if you just pay attention, it's doable. I expected this kit to be a total nightmare, but I'm quite pleased by my purchase. I did give four stars instead of five because of the symbols, but that's the only complaint I have!

Wow, I finally just finished it for my great nephew who is now almost 2 months old. I had no idea it would take approximately 300 hours (yes, you read that right) or I would never have started it. Also, I have done many cross-stitch kits and I have NEVER had a kit that was so stingy on the thread. I either ran out of or came close to running out of almost every color. Luckily I had a lot of left over embroidery thread from other kits that I could use. The company says you can contact them for more but who wants to stop and wait? And half the time I was traveling and ran out on an airplane. Very frustrating! The finished product looks very nice and I am happy it will go in his Noah's Ark themed nursery, but I wouldn't recommend unless you have a lot of time on your hands, a lot of patience, and a lot of embroidery thread.

I made this for a friend's baby and it turned out beautifully! While it did take a while to finish, the pattern is easy to follow and there are only whole stitches in the entire pattern (no half or quarter stitches). My only complaint is that I prefer to work with the DMC brand of cross stitching thread as it does not knot up as easily as this brand of thread does. I agree with some other reviewers that it does take a little time to get "set up" to start stitching; I personally separated each color into individual baggies because it's absolutely impossible to keep the colors separate on the silly cards they are attached to when you open everything up. Overall though, this was a great purchase and the person I made it for ended up very pleased with it.

Very easy to follow instructions, very cute pattern. I ran out of white, black, a grey, a blue, and one or two of the gold/yellow colors for the ark. I did not make any mistakes that would warrant using up these colors, so I think the kit simply does not supply enough thread. Luckily, I had some extra thread/floss handy so I could match them up, but it wasn't exact, and it was disappointing to run out of thread.

I hadn't done counted cross-stitch for many years, so this was a little difficult to follow at times. I took the color drawing and blew it up on a Xerox machine to help me. I was quite right in a number of places, but it didn't matter. Changed it slightly, too but that just makes it personal. It turned out very nice and my daughter loves it. Just the thing for my new grandson's bedroom.

This was a brand new kit as described with all of the thread already separated, which is great considering that most kits do not separate the thread for you.

The thread looks great, however, the pattern seems a little blurry, but nothing that I can't work with!

Overall a great kit!
