8th MAN - A treasure of the 1960's,
By David L. (USA, Western side of Earth 2000) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tobor, the 8th Man Vol. 3 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This series was more mature than the average cartoon show then. It even had continuity. Camera would focus on the foreground, and the background would get blurry. The reverse was just as true - rare thing for those days. People's feelings and relationships were part of the story, not just chases & fights. series: A+

A High Quality Video,

I had been under the impression that this volume contained episode #1, but I was wrong. Anyway I was pleasantly surprised to see that these stories are of a much more adult nature than those in volume #1. I enjoyed reliving my memories from the early 60's when I first watched these cartoons. Well done! However, I thought Tobor used to smoke a cigarette to recharge his batteries. Maybe they've cut that part out for the little ones.

ever heard of robocop. guess where they got it from. it was from 8th man. smooth, crisp, and faster than a jet, 8th man will appeal to all ages. its not a well known cartoon but give it a chance and it will become one of your all time favorites.
