5.0 out of 5 stars yowza ! this is good stuff.
From the days when Toby Keith was a diamond in the rough, these videos showcase his powerful personality, manly appeal and fabulous voice...which shine even though his haircut is awful and a few of his songs a little bland compared to what he's done since leaving Mercury Records.

1.0 out of 5 stars Love Toby, Disappointed in DVD
I made the mistake when I pre-ordered the DVD that it would contain some of his newer videos so despite it being vintage Toby, I was looking for "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue",
"Who's Your Daddy?" and "I Love This Bar"--lesson learned.

This review is from: Toby Keith Video Collection, Volume One (1) (DVD)
From the days when Toby Keith was a diamond in the rough, these videos showcase his powerful personality, manly appeal and fabulous voice...which shine even though his haircut is awful and a few of his songs a little bland compared to what he's done since leaving Mercury Records.

There are some excellent songs on this collection however, and favorites of mine are "Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action," and "Big Ol' Truck."

Toby has it all; intelligence, charisma, a God given vocal talent, and a great stage presence as a performer, and this DVD shows he had it all right from the start.

Total running time is approximately 25 minutes.

Track list:

1: "Should've Been a Cowboy" (words & music by Toby Keith). A sepia toned live performance contrasted with footage of Toby as a sheriff. From his first 1993 CD "Toby Keith," and it was a # 1 hit for him.

2: "He Ain't Worth Missing" (Toby Keith). Toby as a bartender with a babe who's got a two-timing boyfriend. This was a # 5 hit and came from the '93 "Toby Keith" CD.

3: "Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action" (Keith Hinton/Alan Stewart). A hard-rockin' number featuring a dance hall performance with Toby riveting, with humor and a terrific smile. It was another # 1 hit from the "Toby Keith" CD.

4: "Dream Walkin'" (Toby Keith/Chuck Cannon). A # 1 hit from the 1997 "Dream Walkin'" CD. It's a beautiful song, and lovely video.

5: "Getcha Some" (Toby Keith/Chuck Cannon). A modern-day display at a Natural History Museum comes to life; it was released on the 1998 "Greatest Hits Vol. 1."

6: "Who's That Man" (Toby Keith). A sad tale of a man who no longer has his family, and was a # 1 hit from the 1994 "Boomtown" CD.

7: "Big Ol' Truck" (Toby Keith). Another up-beat number with Toby doing an outdoor concert, having a really good time, and looking at least a 9 on the hunk-O-meter.

I wonder why everyone considers this a major dissapointment first off it was released from the MERCURY label the label he left in 1999 to persue better options every Toby Keith fan knows that story of how he now joined the DREAMWORKS label to become a more angry artist who has more artistic freedom. This is a great collection of videos 7 of them is the total and and there from 1993 to 1998. You get stuff like Should have been a Cowboy and Big Ol Truck and Getcha Some and He Ain't Worth Missing and a few more. You can't find these videos anymore on CMT or GAC it is a great thing to see these videos again. Do not expect to find Who's Your Daddy or the Angry American nor How do like me now first off why would anybody want to pay money for those videos they get played to death for free on CMT all the time. So the reason why they released this collection is so you can get videos that you CAN'T SEE ANYMORE! My only gripe is there is nothing from the Blue Moon album on here there is no Me Too nor Does that Blue Moon ever shine on you it would have been great to include those videos but this is still great it sure is worth buying and the price you can't beat it either.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's great to have Toby on DVD but . . . ., November 19, 2003

To the Mt Carmel PA fan-please note this was put out by Mercury, Toby's first label, which is why the current video's aren't there. Hopefully Dreamworks will put out a volume two.

As far as this DVD goes, I wish they would have made it identical to the VHS release from years back. It had Blue Moon, Tired, Me Too and We Were In Love on it also. But I'm glad a DVD has finally been released and I do love it!

If you love TK, you won't mind the fact that in these videos he has BAD hair, BAD outfits and generally does not look like the hunky-all-American that he does today. That said... this DVD is worth the money just to get a sense of where he started out and some of the songs are really pretty good. I LOVE Dream Walking...that song/video alone is worth the $8-

I am a HUGE TK fan, from long before his recent popularity. I received this DVD for christmas and consider it one of the best gifts I received. I don't have cable so I rarly get a chance to see music videos. This was a great idea! I can't wait for the rest of the volumes to be released!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great edition to your Toby Keith collection, December 4, 2003

I was disappointed that this didn't have Toby's newer videos until I saw that it was released by Mercury, which is his former label. It has seven of his earlier videos, and in my opinion some of the best of his older videos, including Big Ol' Truck, which I have never seen all the way through before. It is hillarious! And totally worth the money, just to see Toby Keith in his boxers at the end of the video! No Toby Keith collection is complete without this DVD.

But I got none of these.this was designed to start a series of collections.these were supposed to be the best of his videos instead it turned out to be his worst.Maybe the next one will be better.
