After being a Toby Keith fan for sometime, I just purchased this CD this year. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the great variety of this platinum record! Toby's style of writing and presentation has obviously been A-1 from the beginning. We are all familiar with the hits that got him going such as "Should've Been A Cowboy", "He Ain't Worth Missing", "Wish I Didn't Know Now" and "A Little Less Talk..."! I still love his style of rockin' which is evident in "Valentine" a song that keeps running through your head long after the fact. His voice is strong and clear especially in one of my favorites "It Ain't No Thang". For any TK fans that have missed out on this one, get it now--it is a great combo in your CD player as random spin with the newest CD "How Do You Like Me Now" and "Blue Moon"!

This Album Was Released Back In 1993. It Also Contains The Hits Like His First #1 "Should Have Been A Cowboy" Which Is One Of My Favorites On Here, "He Ain't Worth Missing", "A Little Less Talk And A Lot More Action", And "Wish I Didn't Know Now." All Of Those Songs Are Really Great Songs To Listen To. They Are Also On The Greatest Hits Volume 1 Album.

An all time classic - I'm not sure how I misplaced my cassette tape (yes you read that right), but I picked this up on CD and I can't imagine not owning it. Much better than the recent Toby Keith albums.

Only since Unleashed did Toby Keith become a superstar, before he did have an audience, but Unleashed broke him into the big time.Making Toby Keith one of country music's biggest stars,so many Keith fans may have missed out on Toby Keith's debut album the first time around.I'd advise any fans won over by Unleashed or Shock'n Y'all to check out his first album.Should Have Been a Cowboy was a hit when the album originally came, out the time I didn't know who sang it,but I've always like the song.It was about a decade after the album had been out that I purchased they album, and I recognized many of the songs on that are on it, from the radio a long time ago.Besides the hits Should Have Been A Cowboy, other highlights are He Ain't Worth Missing,Wish I Didn't Know Now,and Little Less Talk. This is one of those great early albums, that didn't get the recogniziton it deserved.

Toby Keith hit his first song out of the park. Should've Been A Cowboy is a great song. That remind's me of growing up and going to all the western movies and the t.v. shows. Then playing cowboy in the neighborhood. It is the highlight of a very good cd. And still one of my favorite songs by him. I have gotten all of his original cds. I have seen him live once. And he could very well be my favorite male singer of the '2000s. This is where it started.
It also has the hits He Aint worth Missing, And A Little Less Talk And A Lot More Action, and Wish I Didn't Know Now. My other favorite song is Mama Come Qucik. but every song is good.

If you dont have this then get it now. Toby Keith is the best singer there is. This is the cd where it all started. All the best songs are on here, like "Wish I didn't know" I definately recommend this cd and all of his others. His voice and talent are totally his own. No one can compare to him, and this cd proves it. It started with this one and its only gotten better. I'm sure after you hear this album you will be back buying all of his others.

It's fun to go back and listen to Toby's very first album and compare it his newest one. The songs may be a little less complicated in lyric content, but they are still pure Toby musically. My faves on the album are "A Little Less Talk And A Lot More Action" and "Some Kinda GooD Kinda Hold On Me". Also nice to see what Toby looked like back then-about 30 pounds lighter I'd guess.
