5.0 out of 5 stars Better Late Than Never!
After being a Toby Keith fan for sometime, I just purchased this CD this year. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the great variety of this platinum record! Toby's style of writing and presentation has obviously been A-1 from the beginning. We are all familiar with the hits that got him going such as "Should've Been A Cowboy", "He Ain't Worth...

1.0 out of 5 stars LOL Private Pyle
Dude his horrible. Almost every song he has ever done should go on the worst songs ever list... He has no melody, and his lyrics are mediocre.

Worst of all, he looks like Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket.

LOSER!

After being a Toby Keith fan for sometime, I just purchased this CD this year. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the great variety of this platinum record! Toby's style of writing and presentation has obviously been A-1 from the beginning. We are all familiar with the hits that got him going such as "Should've Been A Cowboy", "He Ain't Worth Missing", "Wish I Didn't Know Now" and "A Little Less Talk..."! I still love his style of rockin' which is evident in "Valentine" a song that keeps running through your head long after the fact. His voice is strong and clear especially in one of my favorites "It Ain't No Thang". For any TK fans that have missed out on this one, get it now--it is a great combo in your CD player as random spin with the newest CD "How Do You Like Me Now" and "Blue Moon"!

This Album Was Released Back In 1993. It Also Contains The Hits Like His First #1 "Should Have Been A Cowboy" Which Is One Of My Favorites On Here, "He Ain't Worth Missing", "A Little Less Talk And A Lot More Action", And "Wish I Didn't Know Now." All Of Those Songs Are Really Great Songs To Listen To. They Are Also On The Greatest Hits Volume 1 Album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, September 18, 2005

I guess you're in the love it or hate it camp on this one but I LOVE this cd. Toby Keith has an awesome voice and mixed in tongue-in-cheek humor with ballads.

He's not the cookie cutter country singer but a songwriter who sings and writes from the heart. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes angry. He's still going strong after 10 yrs in the biz (an eternity in the entertainment world) and has lots more to offer.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Starting point for your Toby Keith collection, October 30, 2004

Only since Unleashed did Toby Keith become a superstar, before he did have an audience, but Unleashed broke him into the big time.Making Toby Keith one of country music's biggest stars,so many Keith fans may have missed out on Toby Keith's debut album the first time around.I'd advise any fans won over by Unleashed or Shock'n Y'all to check out his first album.Should Have Been a Cowboy was a hit when the album originally came, out the time I didn't know who sang it,but I've always like the song.It was about a decade after the album had been out that I purchased they album, and I recognized many of the songs on that are on it, from the radio a long time ago.Besides the hits Should Have Been A Cowboy, other highlights are He Ain't Worth Missing,Wish I Didn't Know Now,and Little Less Talk. This is one of those great early albums, that didn't get the recogniziton it deserved.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best singer in the world, March 27, 2003

LeAnn (Ft. Myers Fl) - See all my reviews

If you dont have this then get it now. Toby Keith is the best singer there is. This is the cd where it all started. All the best songs are on here, like "Wish I didn't know" I definately recommend this cd and all of his others. His voice and talent are totally his own. No one can compare to him, and this cd proves it. It started with this one and its only gotten better. I'm sure after you hear this album you will be back buying all of his others.
