5.0 out of 5 stars Trance to Die For in Y2K1
I love this group. The music and lyrics are produce by a team of great artists call Fragma. The singers are mostly all different in each tracks. That's why I love Fragma, they choose various singers for their music. All female vocals. Awesome vocals perform by all the singers. Best dance music mix with trance. Similar to Beam and Yanou, Ayla, Rockell, Jan Johnston, Kay...

2.0 out of 5 stars Wow!
I had no idea that Real McCoy just had a new CD out! Oh wait, the cheesy European guy isn't rapping over the dance beats. And the songs aren't as catchy as "Another Night", etc. I guess the first few tracks are okay, but it goes really downhill from there. And did it really need not one but 2 versions of "Toca's Miracle" which sound almost exactly...

Similar to Beam and Yanou, Ayla, Rockell, Jan Johnston, Kay Cee,etc. All the songs are unique, hypnotic, danceable, and moving. Start your year with this album. It is their 1st, and hopefully not their last if they have such talents for music.

i have to say that fragma is one of the best dance/trance group ever because of the energy that you feel when you hear in every single one of their songs as "toca's miracle" or "you are alive"
fragma has been in the charts with all their singles so i think if you want more, buy this album and you will see that they will touch your heart with their music!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fragma - Toca, October 28, 2003

The debut set from German dance act Fragma, is a sparkling collection of cutting-edge Euro-trance anthems. Right from the start, the album takes off into a galaxy of infectious club beats, ear-pleasing synths, and heavenly female vocals. The opener "Toca's Miracle", one of the hottest singles in years, is simply gorgeous. The soul-tinged vocals courtesy of Coco fit perfectly with the irresistible bass twang, topped off by an addictive chorus. Other standouts include the glittering trance-pop of "Everytime You Need Me", sung by Maria Rubia, the guitar-licked "Magic", sung by Linda M., and the seductive epic "Take My Hand", performed by Damae (who became Fragma's principal vocalist after the release of this album). What makes Toca most enjoyable is its obvious appeal to mainstream listeners, while maintaining a sophisticated and edgy style that will also delight more hardcore dance music fans. An excellent album, to say the very least.

4.0 out of 5 stars dance-a-licious!, September 21, 2001
This review is from: Toca (Audio CD)
If you became hooked on "Toca's Miracle" as much as I did, then this CD will not be a disappointment. It includes the aforementioned international dance chart topper, as well as their recent U.S. dance hits "Everytime You Need Me" and "You Are Alive". Worth the price of admission right there. I was pleasantly surprised to find more enjoyable material on this disc... a rare feat for club-based artists, in my book.

Go ahead and pick this gem up... I think you'll walk away pleased. If not, you'll at least shake your groove thang for a few sweaty minutes. And I'll be right there with you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful VOCAL TRANCE/TECHNO/POP album from Germany, August 24, 2002

This is a nice Vocal Trance/Techno album. It has 2 or 3 instrumentals on it, but the tracks that I liked the most were the ones that had POWERFUL FEMALE Vocals that perfectly accentuated the BEAUTIFUL MELODIES.

This album is similar, BUT NOT AS GOOD AS, DJ ENCORE (Intuition) and IAN VAN DAHL (Ace) albums. Actually, It is more similar to the second one.

This is a VERY Enjoyable album to listen to, and would be a Great Addition to a Good CD collection.
Enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent CD, February 28, 2002
By
This review is from: Toca (Audio CD)
This CD is great, it's full of catchy beats, but not overly repetitive, like some techno can be. The girls who sing for Fragma are decent, they aren't amazing, but they aren't annoying by any stretch. Chances are that if you loved Darude's CD, or Sylver, or even Madison Avenue, you'll enjoy this CD. But if you're a deep down disco fan, or you don't really like techno, just don't bother with this CD, because this is the definition of a typical good techno CD.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disco Mess, December 31, 2001
By
This review is from: Toca (Audio CD)
This can't be a serious recording. The thing starts out OK if you're not put off by something that screams techno-disco and shoves every old disco stereotype right in your face. But after about the first third of the album, the whole thing goes right into the toilet. To give you some idea of the last two-thirds of the thing: Imagine a music camp for 10-12 year old boys who have never had any music experience. Then after one week (and only one week) of camp the boys are turned loose on an assortment of synthesizers and drum machines. The result would be a fairly accurate representation of the last two-thirds of this album. The girls who do the so-called singing here try to salvage it by throwing in what are supposed to be (I guess)...little squeaks and grunts, but the whole thing is beyond saving. I am fairly sure the band showed up at the studio, recorded the first few songs, the somebody told them that really need more than that for an album...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great dance music with a touch of ambience and techno, November 28, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Toca (Audio CD)
This ranks right up their with vitamic C and Dream but I only gave 4 stars because of the 2 songs I skip on this CD. Nobody's perfect anymore(not since the 80's) but Fragma comes very close.
