This review is from: Today (Audio CD)
This album is a must buy for any Everlast fan. The first track, which is "Watch me Shine", is a different version from their previous album cut. Not only is it jazzed up but the drum beats added to the depth of the track. Their song, "What it's like", which is a live cut on this album, is even better than the original version. It is better because it was sung like he really meant what he was saying, like he was singing the "blues". This album also includes the remake of Neil Young's song, "only love can break your heart", which was used in the movie "Big Daddy". And for all you nostalgic fans out there, Everlast also did a good rendition of Jump Around (Which is also a live cut). The former House of Pain front man must really love this song to put it in this album. This album also features "Put your lights on", with Carlos Santana in guitars, and "Blues for Christmas" which is also a great track. In a nutshell, this album is not only worth buying, but it is also worth playing over and over again. This is definitely an Everlast Classic. It only has a few songs but definitely worth every cent. For all you everlast fans out there, this album is tailor made for you!
