These quotes and quips are just the kind of things I want my middle school students to be thinking about. I love using them as writing prompts. The collection is the perfect combination of wit and wisdom.

We checked this book out from our library a few weeks ago and have used it every day. There are ideas and inspirational quotes/book passages each day and it has made our days more interesting. I like to make my kids think about how they go through life interacting with others and how they treat themselves and this book is awesome for just that. Can't wait to get our own copy!

What a delightful little book. So many thoughtful ideas for living happy within yourself.
I must confess I did not read the book daily, rather I read the entire book at one sitting.
Then I started on a daily basis to read each day. Every day is wonderful guide to how
improve yourself and your surroundings.

In TODAY I WILL, each day has a page dedicated to it, full of all kinds of things like being a good friend, following your dreams, the importance of taking responsibility for your own actions, and so much more. Each entry starts off with a quote from a book. Then comes a few sentences expounding upon the quote, showing how it could possibly apply to the reader's life.

Each page also has an illustration of some sort. The illustrations were great!

I think this book is perfect for older children and younger teens. Each day's page is short, quick, and to the point, making it easy to read, and only takes up a few minutes each day.

It is an ideal book for anyone looking for a way to start every day right. TODAY I WILL would make a great gift.

I purchased this to use with my 5 year old and realize now it's more likely to be used with a tween on their own. So instead, I'm just reading it with her every night before she goes to bed and then we talk about what we can do or what we can think about or focus on for the next day. Tonight's reading was about "being hungry" and realizing there are a lot of hungry people in this world and what can she do to help or make a difference. Her answer was "give them milk and cookies". Soooo, now I have to figure out how to accomplish that one tomorrow.

This book is wonderful. The illustrations are fabulous...totally aligned with the topics covered. Although a children's book, much can be applied to adults. Each day provides fodder for conversation, group activities and self reflection. A must have for parents with young children. Julia Rothman's illustrations "rock!"
