This is new. A new ocean, new shore, new, still very young land in the making. Slowly, it is being appreciated, not disturbed by haters, like we all understand that there is a new life in the name Superpitcher. It's true. Confident and daring this mix makes me thirsty for everything this guy has in his crate. Like music in educational visuals from the next century explaining God.Every tune fills up the hole that the previous has left behind, and if you are the kind who likes to listen alone, in the dark, then I can say to you that the experience is indescribable. Melodic, minimalistic (in a very conceptual, detailed way), a little offensive with it being always a few steps ahead of you, and every once in a while it gets so close you can almost feel the heat from the hands that made these songs. And they are songs, not tracks, they are digital snapshots of feelings that may be impossible to create with analog equipment. The name is 'Today', but unfortunately it is still 'Tomorrow', like a teaser of something so very close and unavoidable, but not quite there yet.

If you don't like electronic music, you may not understand this album the way it was meant to be understood. If you're not familiar with electronic music it may or may not be a delightful experience for you. But if you like techno, there's an enoromous chance that you'll love this album. After having this piece for over a year,I still feel it's my favorite. I think the secret is that Mr. Superpitcher not only picked some fine tracks, but also put them together in a way that catches listener's mood and invites into its flow. It will take you deep into the minimal world from the beginning, playing with your senses and feelings, pumping you up with energy during the first half; and than, suddenly, it will calm you down, slowly, into the end of the album, leaving you peaceful and relaxed, anc fascinated. So pick it up and enjoy the minimal techno at its finest. Arguably one of the best electronic albums released, the German masterpiece by Aksel Schaufler, AKA Superpitcher, "Today".

Superpitcher is to me a great producer, tracks like Happiness, Speicher 35, remix of the MFA all are amazing work. Superpitcher's track selection makes for a potentially great journey, however the mixing is what throws me off here. Rather dissapointing... when you can EASILY hear the track transitions, almost like getting to the end of the record where you need to make a last minute mix (transition. 1 to 2, 5 to 6, 8 to 9, 9 to 10, 10 to 11) - still some great tracks that are pushing progressive electronic music to the next level (Spark, Leuchtturm, Dinamo, Wurz+ Blosse), just wished for a tighter mix -I recommend James Holden's Balance 005 and "at the controls", Hernan Cattaneo's sequential mix and Chis Fortier's Balance 007 that have it really tight -
