Amazing resource,
By Dressy (Rochester, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Today I Will Do One Thing: Daily Readings For Awareness and Hope (Hazelden Meditations) (Paperback)
I was recently diagnosed severe recurrent (chronic) depression with anxiety and put on meds, and have been in recovery already for 12 years. There isn't a lot of literature out there that's non-clinical for the "dually diagnosed" population as accessible as this book, and it's a treasure because you can flip around from topic to topic using the index. I have found out so much about myself and about how to cope with life from this little book. DEFINITELY worth the money!!

There are too few books that are broken down into simple, and helpful, formats. With thousands of people recovering from addictions and mental health issues, having a practical, down-to-earth daily guide brings a lot of relief. When attention spans are short from either depression, ADD, anxiety, or any other distracting life event, this book can speak clearly and yet very helpfully.

Excellent daily meditations for those with dual disorders. Furthermore these would be good for anyone, whether they are in a 12 step program or not. Have been exceptionally helpful in coping with the trials and tribulations of daily life.
