Product Description

Color: Espresso

Good maternity pillows are hard to find. It's all about mom's comfort when it comes to a pregnancy pillow and Today's Mom Cozy Comfort is an excellent maternity pillow. One of the biggest pregnancy pillow problems has been hard edges digging into mom's shoulder. The Cozy Comfort has a curve shaped, shoulder support design, that contours to the shoulder and provides a soft sleep. Another problem examined by Today's Mom is lumbar support. The Cozy Comfort correctly supports mother's weight while she sleeps. An important upgrade mother's demanded was belly support. This maternity body pillow features a belly support allowing the tummy to rest and support the baby comfortable. Perhaps the best feature is the large, square head rest area. Other pillows feature a flimsy, oddly shaped area for the head. The Cozy Comfort's head support resembles a standard pillow to provide comfort.

It's like sleeping in your own little comfy nest.
The pillow is quite big and will take up half of a queen size bed.
Very good support, cover is easy to remove and wash.

Let me say that this pillow has been a god-send to me! From the very early weeks of my pregnancy, I have been experiencing fairly severe hip pain after I wake up. I tried putting a traditional body pillow in between my legs at night to relieve the pain, but it didn't help. I still ended up turning over 4 or 5 times every night because my hips were hurting so badly. I finally gave in at about 7 months and bought this pillow. I wish I would have had it all along! Here is what I love about it:

1. It contours to my body very well, so my belly is supported at all times.
2. If I do turn over to sleep on my other side, I don't have to turn the pillow too because it wraps all the way around me!
3. I have not had any hip pain since I started sleeping with this pillow. I used to ache for at least an hour after waking up and even limped sometimes because the pain was so bad. Now, I wake up feeling great!
4. It is not as big as it looks in the pictures. I am 5'8" and it fits me fine. I thought it would be way too big and take up my whole bed, but it doesn't. My husband and I have a queen size bed and we can both sleep comfortably without the pillow getting in his way.

I would recommend this product to any pregnant woman. I know you will sleep well with it!

I'm a middle aged man with a bad back and therefore cannot possibly get pregnant under any circumstances. I did hear about these pillows on a radio program, however, and decided to try this particular one for some much needed back support while in bed.

I was so thrilled with how well the pillow seems to have the much needed bumps and nooks just where you need them for both back and abdominal support. I slept with mine for the first time last night (after making some pillow cases for it...) and truly had an amazing sleep experience. I never thought my best spooning would be with some polyester batting in a keyhole shaped pillow. Go figure.

Some have mentioned that the enclosed pillow cover might be a bit caustic to the skin. It is made from a woven interfacing material and I believe is meant only to be a pillow protector as opposed to being an actual pillow case. Should Ralph Lauren have made such a pillow slip, let me tell you, it would clearly have listed for more than the actual pillow I purchased.

Since I'm not unfamiliar with a sewing machine or DIY projects I decided to make some pillow cases for this odd duck from some old Ralph Lauren oxford cloth sheets. I can tell you from experience it is a rather large footprint. You might squeeze two sides from a fitted queen sheet if you are lucky but I can definitely get three sides from a flat queen sheet if I take out the stitching on the top hem. Use the pillow protector as your pattern piece. It works just fine.

I'm not sure my idea of a fun Saturday morning is placing 30" zippers into pillow slips, but let me assure you the second one went in more easily than the first. They do sell a 30" light weight zipper at my local fabric store as a "robe replacement" zipper that suits the job perfectly.

Purchase this pillow! I wasn't expecting to have a child at my age, I'm 39, but when I found out I knew that I had to do everything possible to keep this baby healthy and happy. I also knew I had to keep my body healthy and happy. With 4 previous pregnancies, I've become a veteran of sorts. I never thought a new product would turn me on my ear, but the Cozy Comfort Pillow by Today's Mom has done just that. I've tried other pregnancy pillows with my 2 previous children and found them to be OK, but with a lot of work to be done. My last pillow was by Leachco and it worked alright, but it could have been much, much better. For example, I woke up just as sore in the morning as I was when I went to bed. The Cozy Comfort promised improved lumbar support and I was very hesitant at first But, after making the purchase I believe every word. The shape of the pillow is better than any other pillow because it truly does support your frame. My back feels great in the morning and that is very important to me. The shape of the pillow also helps in supporting my legs and stomach. My belly gets actual support from the pillow and gives me lots of comfort. A small, but invaluable feature is the removable cover. Other pillows make taking the cover off the biggest hassle in the world, but not this one. It is so easy to remove that my husband even washed it for me!

UPDATE 3/25/12: I have long since had my baby, but thought I would share that I brought it tent camping while I was still pregnant and it was fantastic!! We did use a queen size air mattress, but with the air mattress and this body pillow, I was very comfortable sleeping in a tent by the beach.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this when I was at 22 weeks because I started experiencing hip pain. I tried sleeping with a pillow between my knees, but the pain persisted.

I've been using this pillow for 2 weeks and absolutely LOVE IT!!!! It provides a head pillow, pillow support for my back, my belly, and for my legs all in one. I normally wake up surrounded by pillow softness, and the support (especially for my back and belly) has been amazing!! What's even better is if I switch from my left to the right side, I don't need to bring the pillow with me. It's already there because it surrounds you. I just nestle into the keyhole opening and I'm good to go!

I am 5'2", and fit fine within this pillow. We have a queen sized bed, and it fits fine. In fact, its about as wide as half a queen size bed, so hubby can't inadvertently sneak over and force me into a small space on my side. The pillow ensures I get my half of the bed!

I like that the cover is removable and washable. I get very warm at night, so I wash the pillow cover on a regular basis. It's not the softest material, but once I go to bed, I don't notice it at all.

Totally worth the price to sleep better from now until my baby is born.
