I got this book several years ago and it is comprehensive, easy to understand and will teach you all the theory you need to repair engines (you need to learn practical yourself!). It isn't massively detailed, but it doesn't pretend to be - it's just a good introduction to engine building. Since buying it I've done a BEng and worked for a multinational OEM supplier and on re-reading not found this book lacking or inaccurate.
If you're moaning about the spending 50 quid on it BTW, then just do a degree, they only cost £30,000.

As a student at Fresno city college, our intruction use this book and I feel that the book cost too much becuase most of the student cannot afford. Please lowered the price so every student will the book and get the knowlege to share.
