This item was perfect in size for my 15 month year old. It was even a bit snug in the belly. He is very average size. Please go up a size if you kid is fitting in 24 month old clothes by Carter. I did have him wear his thermal pj's underneath and shoes. It was too light to wear without clothes underneath (I live in Seattle 40 degrees) The material will not last long. My son wore it 4 times during the christmas season and the fabric started to ball up a bit which is fine since it was more of a novelty cute thing that he will never wear again. I received lots of compliments on our tiny santa and it put a smile on everyone's face. I would purchase it again.
