Without side snaps, you must pull a poo-filled diaper down baby's legs.

My LO can flood a diaper, but this held one void without leaking, and it even contained a very mushy poop.

At least that is good encouragement to the both of us to get him to the potty in time.

This is a great training pant if you have used cloth diapers and are hesitant to go strait to underwear on your child for the potty training process. However, this is not a great overnight training pant (at least not for my little boy). My son frequently wakes up in the morning soaked through - underwear, pj's, and bedding.

My daughter was having some problems potty training and didn't like the plastic training pants(you can't blame her!). These feel like real underwear and made her feel like a big girl. They wash well(I recommend delicate cycle to reduce lint balls that can form on the inner lining) and can save a pair of pants from any accidents!

I've only used mine a handful of times, but so far, so good. Fit is true to description (although leg openings are a *little* small. Shouldn't be an issue unless your LO has REALLY chunky thighs. The snug openings do help to contain accidents though. My LO can flood a diaper, but this held one void without leaking, and it even contained a very mushy poop. We are still very early in learning to use the potty, but my LO did notice a difference when he went in this as opposed to going in his cloth diapers or disposables. He actually told me he went instead of simply going about his business. I probably won't venture to use these outside the house until he's a little further along in the process though.

This item is just more of the same good quality that I expect from Bummis. I have both the Bummis Super Whisper Wrap Snaps and the Bummis Super Whisper Wrap (velcro) diaper covers, and was really impressed with how well they stood up to daily washing and, more importantly, my son has never had a blowout with either version of the diaper covers. Therefore it was a no-brainer to choose the Bummis cloth training pants.

I started toilet training my 22 months old daughter a week ago. These pants seem to be really good - they can be washed on hot and warm and dried in a dryer as long as you don't use bleach or softner, which I never use anyway. They come out unchanged - which is especially important for the padding. Note that there will be a lot of washing at the beginning as there will be a lot of accidents. They are very soft, provide a lot of wetness to a baby to want to change it right away but can hold one bladder of urine - no leaks on carpets or furniture. They are comfrtable for my little one (even though they look rather puffy on her) and are easy to pull up or down and are a good fit around her legs. The only thing I hold against these pants is the price - but then again the quality is really good. And they serve the purpose!

After much shopping and debate, I decided NOT to buy these because of one feature, or lack thereof: Side Snaps. No matter how comfortable or absorbent these training pants might be, none of that matters when Baby poos in them. Without side snaps, you must pull a poo-filled diaper down baby's legs. The mess is almost enough to send you both back to diapers. I have the Happy Heinys version of these pants, and my daughter cries when she has an accident in them, and we go through the ordeal of cleaning up. Even a wet diaper leaves streaks down her legs. On that basis alone, I would steer clear of these training pants.

Pure plastic diapers offer superior leak protection, while cotton undies keep rashes at bay. These offer about the best combination of both that you could ask for. Four stars because they're so expensive.

Ordered these to potty train my daughter. Since I started a little early, I didn't get to use these the way I wanted to right away. But now that she's gotten the concept of "potty goes in the toilet" these just keep the accidents from being too messy. My daughter is about 30lbs and is wide at the waist and thighs so these work for her. But for a slender child I'd recommend a smaller size. These only recently started staying up on her.

Pro: They work like cloth pull-ups. They don't appear to dig into her leg and seem very comfortable. They wash great in a machine. I turn inside out to dry and they dry quickly.

Con: They only hold one accident at a time. (This is why they only work at the final stage of potty training. She tells me as she's going instead of before.) After the first accident they will start to leak.
