Sara Hickman adores children (especially her own!), and that love shines through in every track on this CD. It's a truly international collection, with songs in Dutch, French, Hawaiian and Hebrew, old traditional children's songs, Sara Hickman originals, reworkings of pop tunes, and more. Several guests appear on the CD, ranging from Tish Hinojosa to MC Overlord to lots of kids to Sara's husband Lance. The two "Storytime With Sara" tracks are cute at first, but don't stand up to repeated listenings, which is the only reason I gave "Toddler" four stars instead of five. But that's a minor quibble. There truly is something for everyone here. It is, by turns, funny, thought-provoking, fun and beautiful. Buy one for your own toddler, and you'll soon be buying more as gifts. You'll love it too, because Sara has one of the loveliest voices in popular music. Listen for yourself. You'll see!

The warning i'm going to give is also the best reason to buy it! If you play this in your car for your 3 year old, you will never hear any other music besides this CD EVER again! Keep them happy! Buy it now! of course, there are one or two throw away tracks, but after the 20-something song, no one notices!

When I found out that Sara Hickman had put out a 'children's album' I had to buy it.

At the time, my daughter was just moving into the toddler stage. Music often fills our home (luckily with my wife's voice--not mine). However, with Sara's infectious songs and the simple sing-ability of this CD the house fills with my voice as well.

We have purchased this CD (along with "Newborn") for a family friend, and it has quickly become a favorite. Heck, even at our house 8 years later my daughter will pop out with the occasional song from this CD.

A very enjoyable family album.

This is a sweet and well balanced CD. My husband and I fell in love with it right away, and my daughter started to like it after it's played a few times. She can now sing a few songs from it. It's so funny to hear her sing the weenie man. :) Now it's one of our favorite CDs.

I checked this cd out at my local library and discovered a treasure for my classroom of 2-3 year olds. There are several songs we sing in circle time. They are so upbeat and fun! Sometimes I leave the cd running for dancing and sometimes I take it home and listen to it in the car in its entirety with my 3 and 5 year old. We all love it!

Got this CD from our library-now listen to it every day, has great mix of song and story. 2 year-old daughter's favorites: 10 Little Bubbles and Little Insect, my fav: Muddy Waters. She sings and dances along with EVERY tune, a real gem. Has some good stylistic ranges, too. Highly, highly recommend this to any parent wanting to teach their kiddos a love for good, fun music.

Can you say FUN!! Mom, Dad, Preschooler, Toddler - we all love it and listen to it at least once a day! It is fun and light and catchy and cute and educational and just awesome. Highly reccommended

We checked this cd out from the library about twenty times before we finally bought it. My son LOVES the music, and requests certain songs. We've even changed a few of the lyrics to fit our everyday life (at our house, we have special songs for putting on shoes, changing diapers, etc), and the tunes are easily singable and memorable. It's one of our favorites, with a wide variety of music and stories - we highly recommend it!

Hearing this CD makes me want to have Sara Hickman as a babysitter or even just to visit for a playdate. She is so much fun and obviously loves children if you read the liner notes in her CD. I love the songs, they're creative and catchy for my 2 year old son and also not annoying for me to hear over and over. Buy it!!

I got this when my kids were 2 and 5. They both LOVE it. The songs and the stories. This is really wonderful. I like it, too! They are original and have kid appeal right away.
