With 20 tunes in around 38 minutes, this CD is ideal for listeners in its targeted audience: kids from 2 to 5 years old. The songs (and rhymes) are all classics, and each is taken at a slack enough pace that the artists stand out. And who are the artists? Kids themselves, all in the targeted age range. They get an acoustic folk accompaniment for "I'm a Little Teapot" and a faux R&B backing for other tunes. Loosely gathered in, the lyrics for the songs delight children's ears and are tremendously cute, full of offhand mirth and glee. There are moments of in-studio laughter that make the final CD, and if that weren't enough, there are also what sound like impromptu recitations, from "Peas, Porridge Hot" to the quick "Fuzzy Wuzzy." In addition, the CD includes a great "Happy Birthday" and numerous examples of call-and-response singing that make adults happy merely to hear something so unhampered by excessive scripting, structure, or controlled forethought. --Andrew Bartlett

I bought this CD on the recommendation of the reviews here on Amazon.com. But I regret the purchase. I buy CD's both to teach my kids new songs and to keep them quiet in the car. We have all of these songs on several different albums, so the songs on this album, "classic" they may be, were not interesting enough to grab the attention of my kids--two and four. The "young artists" in this album do not have the clearest articulation, so I do not know how much a child can learn from this album, if he/she does not know the songs already. Sure it is cute to hear little kids sing, but I suggest one thinks carefully before making this purchase.

The CD features little children singing, complete with giggles and minimal editing. My toddler loves to hear her favorite songs sung by other little "kids". Great for singing along and, my child's favorite - spinning. :-)

I bought this CD and played some songs I liked.
I understood their words. It sounded like Apee Borte 2 U . What?????
