I bought this CD on the recommendation of the reviews here on Amazon.com. But I regret the purchase. I buy CD's both to teach my kids new songs and to keep them quiet in the car. We have all of these songs on several different albums, so the songs on this album, "classic" they may be, were not interesting enough to grab the attention of my kids--two and four. The "young artists" in this album do not have the clearest articulation, so I do not know how much a child can learn from this album, if he/she does not know the songs already. Sure it is cute to hear little kids sing, but I suggest one thinks carefully before making this purchase.

The CD features little children singing, complete with giggles and minimal editing. My toddler loves to hear her favorite songs sung by other little "kids". Great for singing along and, my child's favorite - spinning. :-)

I bought this CD and played some songs I liked.
I understood their words. It sounded like Apee Borte 2 U . What?????

We bought this CD for our 22 month old, she loved it from the first time she heard it. She recognized most of the songs and laughed at the children singing. She calls it the "BABIES tape" and asks for it when we are in the car. I think she enjoys it so much because the children sound like her and it makes her feel like she has "friends" in the car with her! I totally recomend buying this for a toddler-it will make car rides and errand running much more enjoyable!

i would recommend this music to children of all ages. the music is music that they already know. the difference is that the music sounds like them singing it.

This is a great music compilation for toddlers, by toddlers. It is so much FUN, and you cannot help but smile when you listen to it. This CD is different from all the others out there. Thank goodness! Fun, delightful to listen to, sing-a-long-able, and CUTER than you could ever imagine. FANTASTIC!

I was highly disappointed by this cd. I had also read the reviews and thought this might be fun for my 2 year old son. First of all the kids all sound like they've had speech lessons from Elmer Fudd. Second, the recording is striving for `cutesy wutsey' and comes off as quite nauseating. I like the sound of children's voices, so don't get me wrong on this point. Smithsonian series has some great songs with kids singing and it is quite enjoyable. The kids on this cd however, are so self-conciously trying to be cute that it comes off as annoying, especially the old man is snoring song. Be warned. There are much better and fun cds out there choo choo bugaloo and the above mentioned Smithsonians cd series as well as satchmo sings disney etc. avoid this one unless you are a lover of sacharine cutesy wutsey poorly produced garbage. my kid doesn't like it either. he is bored with it. and god knows I don't want him@speaking like these kids. uggggh

I bought this as a cassette for my older daughter a few years ago, and it's been a wonderful, reliable car tape ever since. I guess any children's music can have an adult annoyance factor (some Raffi is *really* weird), but the people who are freaked about bad pronunciation and unclear words are off base. My younger daughter (at 21 months) loves this more than her sister ever did and can sing most of the songs on it outside the car, even Frere Jacques in French! True, she doesn't have good pronunciation, but she doesn't say anything else really clearly either. She seems well able to pick out the main melody and words from all the goofy mistakes and asides of the toddlers. Her sister never started lisping or doing baby talk as a result of heavy listening to this tape, so I have no fears about it. It truly grabs the little ones' attention and sinks right in. And the mixes are really quite fascinating--you wonder how they magically wove together all the fragments of songs and music and sound effects.

I can't tell you what a relief it has been for me to play Toddlers Sing while driving with my 1 year old in the car. He absolutely loves it. Hearing the children's voices mesmerizes him and allows me to start breathing again.....what a relief !

I drive my toddler to and from school every day. Before this CD I would arrive at work with a dry mouth from singing with my toddler. Now, I just pop in the CD and let her sign along. She loves it (sometimes I find myself singing along too). The songs are all great. The children singing are incredible and my toddler has learned most the songs. I definitely recommend this CD to any parent.
