Good variety in selection, album arrangement, and emotions.,

This album is a good showcase for Raphael Rabello's talents. It starts with an up-beat selection to grab the listener then progresses through selections that offer a range of emotions: happiness, love, pain, loneliness, and gentleness. A nice surprise was the inclusion of the old crossover hit known in the U.S. as "The Girl From Ipanema". It was much more interesting in this incarnation and demonstrated Raphael Rabello's abilities very well.

This album shows one of the greatest work of the most amazing guitarrist from Brazil. If you don't know his work, you never saw something like this. In this album Raphael played with Paco de Lucia, Paulo Moura and Tom Jobim.

This is an exquisite "tribute to Jobim" CD by the Brazilian master of the Violao 7 Cordas, Raphael Rabello... this is the most soul-full 7 string guitar playing that i've ever heard & some of the best guitar playing ever !!! from the opening track's collaboration with Paco de Lucia on Samba do Aviao to his solo guitar's finale on the beauty-full ballad Luiza- this CD is inspiring to any afficianado of virtuoso guitar playing, brazilian violao 7 cordas, & music with "Duende do Ciganos"... Ole to Raphael Rabello for this masterwork & all his wonder-full collaborations !!! i also recommend his duet CD w/ Dino 7 Cordas as phenomenal nylon string & 7 string guitar Brazilian virtuosity... just amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
