A wonderful book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Together Again (Paperback)
I loved this book. It's well-written, fast-paced, and fascinating. The true stories of people reunited with their families are uplifting. Even though I wasn't adopted, I was inspired by the way these people overcame their loneliness, feelings of alienation, and challenging situations. Reading this book is a great way to relax and feel good.

By A Customer
This review is from: Together Again (Paperback)
A reading of Carolyn Campbell's rendition of birth parents reuniting with adopted children is like curling up with a riveting detective novel filled with fast-paced suspense, intriguing conflict, realistic emotions, believable characters and convincing hope embodied in real life reunions. In everyone's life, there is someone they have lost touch with. Someone that they would like to see again in this short life that we live. Whether it's an old classmate, a teacher, someone from the military, a neighbor or a co-worker. We are all searching for someone we would like to see again, and readers will instantly identify with the struggles, hopes and dreams in these authentic real-life stories. John R. Llewellyn, Author of: Murder of a Prophet, The Dark Side of Utah Polygamy.

Heartfelt, inspiring stories,
By Andrea Thompson (Hoboken, New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Together Again (Paperback)
I found that this book to be a riveting account of the adoption reunion experience. While most adoption books contain a scant paragraph or two describing each entire reunion experience, this book chronicles three stories completely from adoption to reunion. The reader is able to experience all of the emotions, feelings, hopes and dreams of these long lost family members who are longing to find each other.

This book reveals all of the emotions in the roller coaster of adoption reunions. From the longings of search, to the determination of hope, to the euphoria, healing and validation of finding one's roots, this book has it all. It was written by an author who has experienced reunion herself, in collaboration with professional searchers who are from three generations of adoption. This book offers unique understanding and empathy into the reunion situation and beyond

POST ADOPTION RESOURCE,
By A Customer
This review is from: Together Again (Paperback)
Together Again is an insightful book that contributes to the much needed resources in the adoption community. I read it in one sitting. I believe it is one of the books that should be read by anyone who is looking to embark upon locating their genetic families and those whose lives have been impacted by adoption. --- Jennifer Arndt-Johns

Love and Suspense,
By A Customer
This review is from: Together Again (Paperback)
As an author, I know how difficult it is to write a heartfelt book that is also true and also suspenseful. In Together Again, Carolyn C., one of my favorite non-fiction authors, has done all three, masterfully! Whether the reader has any personal connection with adoption or its frustrations and rewards, she/he can't help but be drawn into the story lines of these three wonderfully developed characters, rooting for their success at every turn. I heartily recommend it!

Inside Real LIfe Adoption Reunions,
By Amy Armanstrout (Fulllerton, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Together Again (Paperback)
I am adopted myself. I was able to identify with the real people in these stories. Like these people, I wanted to find my birth family for many years, and felt many emotions along the way. It was interesting to know that others shared my feelings. This is the first book I've found that includes reunions from the beginning to the end, and describes all the steps of searching. Besides that, it's as good as a detective novel, with suspense, plot twists and satisfying resolutions
