5.0 out of 5 stars Well done
This is a relaxed rendering of Buck's music, with 3 of the original Buckaroos either playing or singing..plus other musicians joining in. It's those three's music and they have a right to do it as they wish, getting together again. It probably has a more bluegrass sound than the original Telecaster beat of the original recordings. If you don't try to hear the original...

3.0 out of 5 stars The Over The Hill Gang
Together Again was all good fun for Doyle Holly,Willie Cantu,Tom Brumley and the troubadour,Buck Owens, who joins Doyle on a couple of numbers, however,I think this recording should've been left alone or put away in the archives, everything seemed subdued,Tom Brumley's steel,Cantu's drums, and Doyle Holly's voice is real weak on here, not the same deep baritone voice of Holly...

Together Again was all good fun for Doyle Holly,Willie Cantu,Tom Brumley and the troubadour,Buck Owens, who joins Doyle on a couple of numbers, however,I think this recording should've been left alone or put away in the archives, everything seemed subdued,Tom Brumley's steel,Cantu's drums, and Doyle Holly's voice is real weak on here, not the same deep baritone voice of Holly that we're a custom to and the sound of the recording itself is not that good. Listen for Buck as he still burns a little fire as he wails on,Loves Gonna Live Here, overall I'm sure it was a great reunion but not the same Buck and Buckeroos that we're used to hearing,on the other hand if Buck Owens sang the whole record that would've been a different story, for Buck Owens collectors this is a good one,the two songs on here are probably some of Buck's last recordings, but this cd is just not made for listening all the time.

If you don't try to hear the original recordings while listening, you should fall in love with it. It is simple and not over produced. Doyle Holly passed away in Nashville last year. However, thank you Doyle for putting this together. Thank you Tom Brumley and Willy Cantu for joining Doyle for these recordings. And it must have been great having Buck there for you also.
