This dvd is over the top. The Gaither Vocal Band and Ernie Haase and Signature Sound combine 8 voices and 8 personalities for an awesome 2 hours of terrific southern gospel harmony. My personal opinion is that the comedy is over-done but the positives far outweigh any negatives in this dvd. I found myself alternating between not breathing and crying all the way through. If you are a fan of either group, or have never heard either group, this dvd is bound to inspire you, to entertain you, and it will bring your soul back to a point in which sometimes there are no words.

I've never cared for Southern Gospel music, so when my husband bought this dvd, I thought, "What a waste of money." However, as I heard it playing in the living room, I was drawn by the incredible harmonies. So I sat down to watch. Wow! Not only is the music beautiful, but the show is very entertaining. These 8 men have an obvious passion for what they do that I found magnetic. The reason I'm on Amazon.com right now is to see what other titles are available by these bands. I'm completely hooked!

I love this DVD and the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that it represents. I listen to it several times a week

This is a favorite! The songs are good, the harmony is amazing and I've just about worn it out. Bill Gaither has a talent for putting together truly inspirational performances. You won't be disappointed with this one. It's a winner!

I have, to date, really liked and enjoyed all eight of these fellows in their performances. In addition, I have many of Bill & Gloria Gaither's DVDs, and respect the Gaither's and their "homecoming friends" very much; nonetheless, this DVD is not my favorite, and I almost gave it'three.' I listened to part of it last night, and then again tonight,I listened to all of it. Both times I noticed myself becoming tired of the -altogether-harmony.

Heartbreak Ridge and New Hope Road was not tiring, but I cannot imagine Marshall ever being a wild man. Ryan is such a disciplined talent, and I hardly heard him at all, and not a lot from the others...individually. In "These are They," I applaud Doug, Wes, and Ernie. Marshall is a very good singer and can do better than that. Guy is a true singer also, and is who he is. His talk was great; he is an excellent speaker, and well educated. Also, I like to see him and hear him sing, but he would not have been my choice for that particular part.

As for the other songs, they were okay, but too much sameness. Further, I was disappointed with all the nonsensical inerruptions. (Too much for my taste, but then, I am only one!) I really did want to hear Jeff play the harmonica.

In general, the guys are naturals. It was more the songs than the singers. Sorry guys. You are such good human beings,and I usually love what you do.

I was a little leary at first about getting this one (have all the Signature Sound quartet dvd's and love to watch them) I also enjoy the CD's of GVB- SURPRISE, Together they are just as enjoyable - maybe better! Have watched it several times already and enjoy it each time. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys this kind of music. Well worth your money and very well done. ENJOY

Good service from Amazon as usual. The Gaither and Ernie Haas albums are great, energetic, and very moving spiritually. If you like Southern Gospel, it doesn't get any better than this!

This s a wonderful dvd, and the service was great in getting here, and the price was fantastic

I loved this DVD. When I heard that the Vocal Band and Signature Sound would be working together I thought it would be a disaster. SIgnature Sound dances and clowns around while doing their DVd's. The Vocal Band on the other hand are very serious about what they are doing and never clown around. I was surprised how well these two groups worked together to make this amazing DVD. I hope that they can make more together. I guess that is no possible though since Marshall Hall, Guy Penrod, Ryan Seaton, and Timmy Duncan have left the groups. What a shame because these two groups "together" were delightful to see and hear. The music was wonderful. Such a variety of music styles.

I have not seen a more humorously filled gospel concert than this one in Louisville, KY. It is pronounced Looaville, ...that's how the folks on the streets say Looaville. Taped in Kentucky there is so much good humor interspersed with this concert of two amazing quartets, Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, and the great Gaither Vocal Band. The concert team is backed up by a full Louisville orchestra. The house band gets in on the fun too, with Rory the soundman, Kevin Williams guitar player, Gordon Mote, pianist and Jeff Easter. The humor is very good, lots of laughs and a refreshing concert addition.

To see both gospel groups onstage is extra good, and one of my favorite songs is the upbeat "Holy Highway." The other songs include:

This is great music and truly a fun event!

The Special Features include a few more songs, "Heartbreak Ridge" and "New Hope Road". They also sing, the Gaither-written, "He Touched Me." This song is in the list of all-time greatest gospel songs. When Bill attended a revival, many attending carried heavy burdens, but yet felt the Holy Spirit. Elvis Presley recorded this song, and won a Grammy.

I recomment: Tribute to the Cathedral Quartet. Gaither Vocal Band: Reunion, Volume One .....Rizzo
