When I saw The Fountain in theaters the movie both disturbed and moved me greatly. One of the more defining moments for me was when the film finished and I was there taking in the whole experience in awe. The credits start coming up on a night sky that slowly drew in more stars. This was the song that was played during those credits. I was spellbound and sat there listening to the entire song watching a night sky grow ever more filled with stars. It is a moment that has stayed with me for years and still inspires me when I remember it.

Together We Will Live Forever is an incredibly deceptive piece that is so enthralling that you are drawn to each and every note played. It's a relatively simple piano piece with no other instruments added, but Clint Mansell plays it with such emotion and style. It still sits with me today as one of the great works to get lost in. If you like mellow, atmospheric and even ambient music this is quite a song to have. If you are a fan of classical piano I would still recommend this piece albeit it's not a technically challenging piece of music it is a resounding work of art.

This song personifies the idea of passing from this life to whatever lies beyond. It is peaceful, flowing, and leads one to meditation. Perfect song!

This is the most beautiful song. Hubby loves it, too! The first time I heard it in The Fountain, I just had to have it!
