Allegro Medical deserves 5 stars but product earns only 4 stars due to problems with one of the gasket seals. Had to replace original foam gasket with wax seal.

This a great product. Installed for my elderly mother due to have hip surgery. Half the cost of ADA toilet and do not have deal with low flow toilet.

I take serious objection to the evaluator who called the Toilevator "a piece of junk." I purchased the Toilevator and had it installed by a professional plumber 5 years ago. It has worked perfectly with NO problems whatsoever. It is made of strong, constuction-grade plastic and easily supports the ceramic commode and me --- a 225 lb. person. Neither the Toilevator nor the commode has ever moved or "slipped." The seals have never leaked. It is a terrific product! The only enhancement that I would recommend is to offer the Toilevator in multiple colors and multiple heights.

This is a wonderful product for anyone who has trouble getting on or off the toilet. My husband has very bad knees and I suffer from arthritis and this device makes doing what we all have to do so much easier! It is very easy to install as well. Highly recommended!

The Toilevator did raise my toilet 3.5 inches, which was just what I needed. I am in a wheelchair 24/7 so getting on and off the toilet is necessary several times a day (and night). I have long legs, so my chair is quite high off the ground which made it nearly impossible to transfer up to it each time. The Toilevator raised the seat up and now my problems are over. The only drawback is my legs barely touch the ground when sitting, so shorter people may have a problem. I didn't want an ugly thick toilet seat, so this solved the problem. My husband installed it and he says it takes some know-how and the toilet needs to be lifted two or three times. If you are not handy, you may need a plumber. However, it is a great product and doesn't look too bad either.

They say bigger is best! That seems correct for this item which is easy to install, comfortable for all (especially big folks) and meets the need. Arrived quickly. Well worth the cost!

Much more secure than elevated toilet seat. The foam seals sounded good, but I would have broke the plastic extension if I had forced the fit using the included foam rubber seals.

When we were planning for my wife's mother to come and live with us, I was looking for a way to raise the height of the toilet seat in our downstairs bathroom and have it be solid. Those "elevated toilet seats" didn't seem very solid to me, nor did that seem like an easy-to-clean solution or one that would stay clean very long. Now that this is installed, it feels very solid, and we're happy with it. The only drawback is that they don't send someone along with it to install it, so you have to plan on either installing it yourself or having your plumber do it. Since I usually leave the heavy-duty plumbing (installing and setting toilets, etc.) to our plumber, I decided to do that in this case, too. While it wasn't cheap to get it professionally installed, it was the right thing to do. We'll see how it wears over the years, but it is solidly made, and feels solid when installed. I don't know why you'd need this to be porcelain, just solid, and it is.

I purchased one of these for my parents - my mom is 81 and my stepdad is 83. My husband had already installed the grab bars and my dad was still having trouble getting up by himself. I saw this product on Amazon, read the reviews and purchased one. He no longer even has to hold onto the grab bar to rise up. This is just enough elevation for them to be able to rise on their own. They liked it so much that they had me to order a second one for their spare bath. I highly recommend these!!

This product is easy to install.
They included all the needed parts.
My 85 year old mother is very pleased to be able to get on and off the toilet much more easily. The thick seat type toilet elevator did not work for my parents. I tried it they just did not like it.
