Product Description

An intensely loyal Brigadier General in the Iranian Imperial Air force is swept up in the violent storm that is the Islamic Revolution of the late 1970 s. Everything Jamsheed Kaveh has and believes is swept away as Ayatollah Khomeini seizes power in a shocking revolution. Stripped of his military authority, Kaveh must live by his wits to help protect his country and family from the violence and chaos swirling around them. Your are witness to what will be regarded as one of the defining moments in Middle Eastern/Western modern political history in this impeccably researched, bracing pierce of fiction by one the Iranian-American community s most promising new voices.

About the Author

Love of writing brought eighteen-year old Iraj Azimzadeh to America, in 1958, to study Journalism at the University of Nebraska. Ironically, after graduation, he found himself in the business end of the communication industry. Until recently, he was the president of VPS Studios in Hollywood where almost a thousand hours of talk shows, reality shows, and network specials were produced. Prior to VPS, he worked as marketing executive for the Los Angeles Times and the CBS Television Network. To peruse his life-long dream and to devote fulltime to writing, he enrolled in the American Film Institute script writing program. Futbaal was one the scripts he wrote during the AFI program. In addition to Futbaal, which is being released in the U.S., he also wrote and directed a documentary, Video Post Cards from Iran,. Tokens of God, is his first published novel. Iraj and his wife, Mitra, live in Los Angeles.
