I am having so much fun playing this ds game. It is 2 dimensional and very 'old school'. The dialogue is very funny and really cool. You get to play different characters with their own special fight moves. Your characters are Tokyo Police officers/detectives who basically shoot/beat down all the baddies, hence the name--Tokyo Beat Down. The fights start off easy but they get harder as the game progresses. You won't be sorry if you purchase this game it is lots of fun.

This game has its tongue planted so firmly in its cheek that it can probably break through and lick its earlobe. If you love cheesy over the top action flicks then you need to play this. It seems like its a Japanese take on the lethal weapon series (even the main character looks like a Japanese Mel Gibson, lol) and the story and characters are just hilariously written.
The only gripe is the actual controls and gameplay are rather pedestrian, and a bit stiff sometimes, but the character more than makes up for it. If you can get it for around 20 bucks its definitely worth a purchase! |
