Mimori Kosaka's dream comes true when she's accepted to the Meidai Attached High School and gets to wear their super-fashionable uniform! She's excited about having a fun and fulfilling freshman year of high school, but things don't turn out as effortlessly as she had hoped. The school year starts off well when Mimori befriends the beautiful Nana, but things quickly turn sour for her when she is chosen to be the class representative. Miki Aihara is the author/creator of several popular shôjo manga including SEITEN TAISEI, SO BAD!, SORA NI TAIYÔ GA ARUKAGIRI, and TOKYO SHÔNEN SHÔJO. HOT GIMMICK is her most recent title and is currently running in the shôjo anthology Betsucomi, which is published by Shogakukan.

Pretty good ending...,

I'm typing this after re-reading the series for a second time. The series is very cute and after a while you really do get to liking the characters. They're much more likable than the characters in Aihara's other series, Hot Gimmick & much more open about their feelings.
In the final volume Mimori's been interrupted by her parents after a steamy trip with her boyfriend Haru... well- it would have been steamy if not for her little scene with Haru in the last volume. Still, she's optimistic that things will improve, until she discovers that her mother's had a change of heart & has decided that the entire family will move with her father to Kyushu! I really liked this series. It's still got the top rate art as well as a great story. My only complaint would be how open ended this series left off. You still get a pretty good idea of what is going to happen due to the personalities of the characters, but it's still a little frustrating when there's isn't a clean finish. That's the only reason this isn't getting 5 stars. I'd still recommend this, though.
