This review is from: Tokyo Disney Sea Music Album (Audio CD)
Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan is quite a way from the United States and although I'd love to visit it, its not that easy. Listening to this music CD is the next best thing to enjoying the new parks attractions without being there. The music is lively and exciting. The words are all in English, unlike some of the other Tokyo Disneyland CDs. There are a few attraction soundtracks on this CD that gave me goosebumps including the score for the "Indiana Jones" attraction. I can't wait to visit the park in person.

Fantastic Import, original tracks recorded in USA in English,
This review is from: Tokyo Disney Sea Music Album (Audio CD)
This is an import CD I found a few years ago, and it is still a valued item in my Disney Parks sound and music collection. Tokyo DisneySea is a wonderful Disney theme park next door to Tokyo Disneyland. It has a central water feature, the Sea, with ports to enter each themed area. The music on the CD is split up by each themed area. If you want to see what Disney Imagineers can design when they are not being held back on spending money, just look at DisnySea. It is incredible, with a level of detail and design that outshines all other Disney parks. When Michael Eisner was strangling the funds for new developments at the USA parks, the Japanese investors that are behind the parks in Tokyo were willing to spend big to have the most unique park in the world. Visit some of the web sites that have photos of this park and you will see what I mean.
The tracks were all recorded in the United States, and those with lyrics are in English with American voices. The tracks in order are: 1. Porto Paradiso (Mediterranean Harbor, Port Theme Song, English lyrics) 2. American Waterfront (American Waterfront, Port Theme Song, English lyrics) 3. Port Discovery Theme (Port Discovery Theme Song, English lyrics) 4. Stormrider Suite (Attraction Music, in Port Discovery, no lyrics) 5. Lost River (Lost River Delta Theme Song, English lyrics) 6. Indiana Jones Adventure- Temple Of The Crystal Skull (Attraction Music, Lost River Delta, no lyrics) 7. Arabian Coast (Arabian Coast, Port Theme Song, English Lyrics) 8. Magic Lamp Theater Suite (Arabian Coast, Live Show Attraction Music, no lyrics )Same as the Aladdin Theater music in Disney California Adventure 9. Mermaid Song (Mermaid Lagoon, Port Theme Song, English lyrics) 10. Mermaid Lagoon Theater (Live Show Attraction Music, English lyrics) 11. Mysterious Island (Mysterious Island, Port Theme Song, English lyrics) 12. Journey To The Center Of The Earth (Attraction Music, Mysterious Island, no lyrics) 13. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (Attraction Music, Mysterious Island, no lyrics) 14. Tokyo DisneySea Suite (a suite of music encompassing all of the themed areas, English lyrics)

Great Memories,

I was lucky enough to go to Tokyo Disney Sea in January and this CD has brought back so many wonderful memories for me. All of the songs are exactly as they are played around the Park, and the Indiana Jones suite is the soundtrack playing during the ride. The music is very powerful and features English lyrics. The tunes are very catchy and resemble famous marching tunes, however there is also a classical element on the CD. Overall, it is a wonderful buy - I'm so happy I found it!!!

Tokyo Disney Sea CD a must for any Disney Fan,

The music from Tokyo Disney Sea surprisingly contains a lot of lyrics. The songs from each "Port" remind me of the old attraction songs from when Epcot first opened such as "Tomorrow's Child" whereas recent U.S Disney attractions and lands have just a musical score. The songs from Disney Sea are not as cheesy as those old Epcot songs and definitely give you an audio feel for the park's themeing. However, the strongest tracks are the ones that are lyric-free. The best are The Stormrider Suite and Journey to the Center of the Earth. The Indiana Jones music is similar, if not an exact duplicate to the music available from The Official Album from Disneyland Park. Overall, its a great buy. |
