An indispensable guide to the coolest bars in Tokyo.
Written with verve by a well known expert of Tokyo after dark, I have personally enjoyed many a spot listed in this essential guide to the Tokyo night scene. Sure, things change, clubs close, but this book should be a core holding in your library of club reviews.

Out of date, out of touch - don't do it!
Tokyo has changed a lot - which makes this book close to useless. You'd be better off spending time having the locals show you around than reading this.

This was a very good "Welcome to Tokyo" book for me. When I lived there, I found several of my favorite bars and restaurants in it. The biggest knock is that it's gotten dated. A lot of the places have closed or changed character, and it's missing many of the newer hotspots. A new edition will be very welcome!

This book is mostly up to date and is still the most informative and enjoyably readable guide to the Tokyo night-life scene. I've lived in Tokyo for years and never would have found the wonderful places this book led me to. Kudos to the author.

I loved the book and caught a lot of it online first at Tokyo-Q while living in Tokyo. Its fantastic and worth the money for all those living in Tokyo and not knowing where to start.
