This is a great addition to your garden. The solar part works very well even in less than sunny conditions. Most enjoyment when you can place it close to your viewing area.

We loved this. But, after a year you can't read the lines on the glass gauge. And there is no where that we can find a replacement gauge. So now we must purchase the whole thing.

I have actually had this for about 3 years now - it was awesome at 1st and lasted about a year - than the threads on the stake holding it in the ground went bad and this year I can not get the solar ball to work anymore.....

I was pleased with the sturdy construction of the rain gauge.The measuring cup is thicker glass, and the solar panel lights up my gauge the entire night.

Three stars for quality. It comes in two parts and one has to screw them together. Thing is the bolt side is not very long, about 1/4 of an inch. So when pushing it into the ground it can very easily bend or even break. This happened to me. While pushing it into the ground I used a good bit of force and the threaded part spread apart and became very loose, because the pressure I used was not directly down but a very little bit to one side. After this incident I would suggest that anyone buying this put the bottom part into the ground then screw the top onto it, DO NOT SCREW THE TWO PARTS TOGETHER FIRST. Also no instructions as to how it works. But after it charged for a day the light at night was, and is, pleasant.

I was so excited when I ordered the solar light moon for on my neighbors deck for them for Christmas! Imagine my disappointment when I received a "substitute". Instead of sending me an email to let me know that they were out of that particular item, they sent me something in its place! I would think that they would know that you want what you ordered--not what they want to send you! I will not use this vendor again!!!
