Ethereality from the 5th Extremity,
By
This review is from: Tolerance (Audio CD)
I think this work could easily have been entitled 'Ethereality from the 5th Extremity'. Norgaard does a tremendous job at creating his own production environment and I really have no idea how he can play the percussion he does with only 2 hands/2 feet, just amazing! Dennis Chambers fans would really dig what he has going on, there's really nice piano texturing, constant angelic-like chorused guitar strings throughout, and aggressive string-slingers beware, there's more than enough to chew on with Gambale and Brett lending there hands, -Tobias stands toe to toe with the reknowned, and just rips it up with passion, technique and tone on one of my favorites 'Seventh Mile Fog'.
The harmonic structures, arrangements and rhythmic elements are for the thinking-man jazz-fusion-rock listener, Mark pulls it all together and is nothing short of 'there', the music lends itself to that multiple replay button to really absorb it all. Excellent!!

This CD features some stellar drumming by Norgaard, and also two of my fav guitarists of all time - Gambale and Garsed. Love the piano by Steve Hunt (seemed odd at first to put acoustic piano in a prog CD but its awesome). Bassist Dave DeMarco has some brilliant things to input as well. Highly recommend this one if you are looking for something new.
