5.0 out of 5 stars Tolerances
This is an awesome shirt pocket book that all the residents carry at my program. It has a lot of key information that I often forget or have to look up in texts and so has saved me a bunch of time. For instance if you look up "humerus" you can find acceptable angulations, indications for surgery, classifications, epidemiology... Very small, concise, and inexpensive.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pocket size?
The letters are too small to read. You need to try a lot. Except from this, this is a good book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, concise reference, November 29, 2005
Geared for anyone who is needing constant reference to numeric tolerences for orthopaedic fractures. A must have for orthopaedic residents, but very applicable for med-students, Attendings or anyone needing a good reference guide. It's small and portable, this is definitely a 5 star buy for the price.

This is THE pocketbook for the orthopaedic practitioner. I carried it throughout residency and it has saved an amazing amount of time. Immediate access to acceptable tolerances and surgical indications without having to run from the ER to the library.

This small book is packed with almost everything an orthopaedic resident needs to get through a night of call. It saves a great deal of time because it distills 20 or so full size texts into a pocket sized book! Every piece of info is also well-referenced in case you would like some more in-depth reading. I have carried this book since I first got the 1st edition 5 years ago. This new 2nd edition is even better. Every ortho provider should have a copy of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, a MUST have, January 11, 2006
This book is great. It's small, but packed with information. As a medical student interested in orthopedics, it has really helped me in the clinic, ER and even before OR cases. You don't always have immediate access to reference textbooks, but chances are the information you need is right in this book!

Outstanding for a night on call, working in the ER, and for the morning "pimp" session at the x-ray viewbox.
