Although the supply store offered to cut the rebar for me, for the application I had I needed to be able to fine tune the size of pieces on site. I did need to make one cut to each bar to fit it on the truck, and I had the store take care of it, as I wasn't really sure what I was in for with this.

Once I got on site and measured the first length I needed, I discovered I had made a great choice with this tool. It did the job quickly and easily.

In hindsight, next time I need more rebar, instead of giving the supply store the 50 cents a cut to bring the 20' bar down to a length I can carry on the truck, I'll just ask them if I can use an outlet and use this ~ it actually performed better (faster to set up, faster with each cut, and a cleaner cut, as well) than their in-house heavy equipment!
