What a Blessing,

This review is from: The Toltec Prophecies of Don Miguel Ruiz (Hardcover)
I was not looking for this book, but it found me and I couldn't put it down. What a beautiful reminder of what we already know and how to keep things in perspective. The world's turmoil doesn't have to keep us from creating heaven on earth. We make steps toward that every day by living consciously. I will read this book over and over again. What a blessing.

A jewel of a book.,

This review is from: The Toltec Prophecies of Don Miguel Ruiz (Hardcover)
I would hastily like to correct a wrong impression given by a reviewer from China. My understanding is that Don Miguel is very pleased with the book and well he should be! This is a very lovely and inspiring work which can be appreciated by readers of the Four Agreements as well as by readers coming to Don Miguel's work for the first time. I have given many as gifts and some have preferred it even to the Four Agreements, probably because of the beautiful presentation given it by Council Oaks Books. I would urge readers to buy them both! This is authentic and visionary Ruiz, based on material in an earlier book but not, as the other reviewer suggested, Being in Vibration which is by Joseph Rael. Definitely a 21st century visionary classic.

This book is simple in verbage and yet the ideas expressed are complex in the way that they are as deep as your own personal perception.Definately recommend this book to those who have read reread and truly comprehend the message of Don Miguels other literature. Otherwise some of the subtleties may seem nonsensical.

I find this book very comforting and pick it up almost daily to reread parts of it. With the world in turmoil, it is my sanity. The simplicity of it's message is it's strength.

Still Reading,
This review is from: The Toltec Prophecies of Don Miguel Ruiz (Hardcover)
I am still reading this. However, the theory presented is very interesting, and coincides with my belief that a lot of knowledge has been lost through the ages.

Warm and lovely -- though a bit odd at times,

This review is from: The Toltec Prophecies of Don Miguel Ruiz (Hardcover)
This is a very beautiful, well-presented book. The artwork, the design, the layout, everything is so beautiful. In a way, I wish don Miguel's /The Four Agreements/ was presented with this kind of color and warmth. What about the content? For the most part, you can see don Miguel's usual themes -- life as a dream, the hell on earth that humans create, the heaven on earth that we can create through awareness, etc. I struggled with the repeated talk of "The Sixth Sun" and how the Earth "tells" the Sun that we are ready, and now the "Sun's light" communicates with us and changes us. It's a lovely mythology, but it seems a bit out of place and unnecessary amongst the wisdom in the book. This is not a practical book, and it's not a very logical book. But it is beautiful, warm, and inspiring at times. It's a visual feast and fascinating to hold, flip through, and meditate on. I don't buy the Sixth Sun stuff, but I am very glad to have this lovely treasure gracing my bookshelf.
