Tom and Jerry cartoons rank with the Looney Tunes for classic fun and laughs. As such, this *should* be a truly stellar collection simply based on the set title alone. However, it's not unless you're a casual "fan".

If you're a serious collector you already have the majority of this collection. If not you want the "Spotlight Collections" and the "Chuck Jones Collection" not this retread.

Drawing from the Spotlight collections, the Chuck Jones collection, and only a smattering of "new era" shorts this is a remix intended for those who don't want everything. For that group this could make a stellar purchase as with only 5 "new to DVD" shorts, this collection is truly for casual "fans" only.

Collectors need not apply unless one of the 5 modern shorts is very high on your "must own" list.
