Great & Bad Game,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Tom & Jerry: The Magic Ring (Video Game)
This is a great game, but once you get to the end it is hard. One thing I really liked about it is it is so realistic. It is a lot like the movie. You should buy this game only if you are over 7 years old. Great overall game!

I got this game along with a GameBoy Advance for my sons birthday. He is 4yrs old. He and I both play it a lot. I have already beat the first 4 levels and my son is working on level 2. This is a good game for smaller kids who are just starting out. Not to hard. The directions were a little un-clear but once you figured it out it was fine.

My son got this game for Christmas, He has only put it down to get new batteries. I have played it as much as him. Its a fun game. Lots of different levels and you can play as either Tom and Jerry which is great.

I bought Tom and Jerry & the Magic Ring for my kids....ages 5 and 7. They both immediately complained that it was too hard and thus, it sat on the shelf for the last 4 months. I decided to play it myself so that SOMEBODY would play it thru....and I found it to be frustrating too. Some levels are easier than others....but there were at least 4-5 levels that my kids would NOT have had the patience for. The graphics were nice....Tom and Jerry and the other characters were true to form. I'm not sure what age group this game is supposed to be for, but if you are a parent and you are buying this for the age 7 and under group.....be prepared that you will most likely have to play parts of the game for them. As an adult playing the game, I completed it in about an hour and a half (which was great because I didn't have to deal with the passwords (which are just a few numbers) at the end of the levels). Not the best game I've played, but not the worst either. Worth the $7 we payed for it used.

Too Violent,

My 7 year old daughter got this game for Christmas and it gave her nightmares. She gave it to me and told me she doesn't like it because it is so violent. ALl throught the game the cat is getting smashed over the head by a bat over and over and other acts of violence. This should not be for kids. It should not have an "E" rating. It just encourages and glorifies violence. We wouldn't have even opened it if we knew what was in the game.

Tom and Jerry are the bomb!,
A Kid's Review

I played this game only to the third level. Durning those levels i realized some things. They are the graphics, the speacial abilities, and the many languages you can choose from. Also in a way you could a new language because say if your friend has a gameboy advance and the game. You could start it to be in the same place at the same time. Then you could pick say french and you friend will pick english. You could understand to say the word in french. I feel that this deserves for everyone to play. This game on the other hand is not that hard and not that easy. I wanted to play it again and try to see if i could go to a higher level and i fell in the first and second level. My opinion is that when you play Jerry it will be better for starters because you could see the difference between him and the enemies. In the levels you will have the opportunity to use different equipments to kill your enemies. The orange like cats are the harder ones because they take time to get rid of but, when you kill them you get cheeses from them and that will help but i don't know how. You should becareful if you pick tom because you might not be able to see the difference between Tom and the enemies. You will have the chance to play with both because in all there are 6 levels i think and up to level 3 will be one person and the rest will be with the one you didn't choose. This game will make you feel happy and you won't regret you bought it. BUY
