Somewhat of a Disappointment,

This review is from: The Tom Wolfe Treasury: 75 Santa Patterns (A Schiffer book for woodcarvers) (Paperback)
Although I always enjoy Tom Wolfe's creations, this book was disappointing to me. It is a collection of two dimentional line drawings of only one side of each figure. There is no attempt made to indicate depth in the drawings. To actually create a pattern from any of the figures one would need to develop the remaining front and rear drawings on their own. This would be difficult for a beginning carver. This is not a book that I would recommend to any of my students.
