I've been using this charger for about a week now, and it has been working great. It's not a so called 'fast' charger, and I haven't really timed it, but so far it's taking about 3 hours to charge my TomTom XL 340-S. That's plenty fast enough for me, and it keeps me from having the GPS and its USB cord from getting in the way around my computer. Heh... Which means I'm also not constantly tripping over the cord.

At $1.99 this charger is a steal, especially when you compare it to the price of other GPS home chargers sold here on Amazon.

It's working quite well for me, and I highly recommend it.

Fast Shipping, brand new product, great price, but the end did not fit into TomTom XL 340S (too large to fit into the socket due to the plastic housing around the end). I did not return due to shipping costs. Thanks anyway!

Bought this for $5 when we got our TomTom XL 340. On a two-week trip, used it once, to charge the unit when we took it out of the box. Otherwise, we just kept the unit plugged in to the cigarette lighter. But it was nice to have the wall-charging option.

Love my TomTom! It is very user friendly and has a easy to read screen. And the updates keep it ready to go!!! Thanks TomTom!!!

I recently took a 2800 mile road trip up and down the East. Although I had created AAA TripTik maps I decided that a GPS would be a good choice as there is not always a safe place to pull over to read a map. After a lot of research I settled on the TomTom XL340S. I tried this out for a week prior to the trip. It was very easy to set up and use right out of the box. One thing I have noticed is that it sometimes asks you to respond to a disclaimer about its use and it sometimes reboots during the initial startup of the day but after that it runs great. I had concerns about the rebooting but it may be the normal part of the startup. It does seem to acquire the satellites fairly fast. The intersection displays were great for knowing what lane to be in. I will say that at times she seemed like she was nagging a little before getting to turns or intersections as instructions were repeated. Annoying at times but she can be muted. By-the-way I say she due to the fact that the computer voice name is Susan. Not being used to a GPS I used both the maps and the GPS for the first half of the trip. The GPS did well including warning me about a traffic jam in New York City and suggesting an alternate route. I should have listened to her as it took an hour to get through that jam. I used only the GPS on the return trip and it worked fine although the routes through Washington DC and New York City were scenic rather than the fastest as programmed. Regardless the TomTom worked great. Glad I had it for this trip.

A basic charger that works great as a secondary charger.The plug that connects to the TomTom Xl340M is a little tight in the scoket but it does fit with a little pressure.All in all great price and it's easy to keep the unit charged.

Device works as advertised providing in-house/in-office charging capability for my TomTom GPS. Only feature that would have been nice is for the AC prongs of the transformer unit to fold away as some chargers do thereby reducing the storage space even further such in a briefcase, backpack, or computer bag. Otherwise, the device works perfectly.

I purchased this charger as a back-up to keep my GPS unit charged. The unit came with a usb charger and car charger, and I don't find it very convenient to plug the unit into my computer to charge. The car charger is fine but I sometimes feel nervous relying solely on the car charger as a power source and prefer to have a fully charged GPS before getting into the car. This one works fine and I think it's a good thing to have on hand.

It was such a pleasure, using my new Tom Tom XL-340S.
easy to use, accurate, and most helpful, as I had not been in the New england area for quite a while. I highly recommend this GPS

This system had a hard time just finding simple directions, my Motorola Droid does a much better job and costs nothing. Not impressed, at all.
