I liked most of this book. But the creepiness is never developed, and the ending is really really really rushed. Like blink and you'll think you accidentally skipped 20 pages rushed.
Also, I'm not sure why the flashback happens for so long in the middle of the book. Call me a traditionalist, but in a creepy house story where the ghosts/evil are never really directly contacted or confronted, it may have been a better idea to intersperse the past events in the current ones to preserve the sense of eerie-ness.
It's not bad, it just could have been a bit better.
I had some trouble getting into this book at first. I really struggled to understand what the issues were and where the book was leading me to. Soon it picked up some and grabbed my attention. This is a good triller all in all, just really tough to follow and get into at first. I almost quit reading it, but hung on and the payoff was well worth it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good thriller.
