5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
This is one of the best buys for the money. I've never held a hand axe that was so light! It has the power of some lager camp axes but is also capable of being used like a knife. I would seriously recommend this product for anyone that wants to think economically.

3.0 out of 5 stars I thought it was Full size not Child size axe
I was looking for a nice size axe to fit in my survival bag and I really did find it. Too bad it was smaller than I thought. I guess I can use it to chop twigs off branches than actually chop down a tree.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Surprised, July 24, 2010

Well I just received this tiny axe (and i do mean) and immediately set to test the ability and durability. Now, fresh out of the box you are immediately surprised by the tiny size of this axe. but upon close inspection you to notice the quality n strength biult into this tool. The first thing I did was the get a 2x4 and hack away at the center. It worked surprisingly well and mad eshort work of the 2x4 with minmal effort. Side note: I would advise sharpening the blade as soon as possible. the blade is decently sharp but a blade can never be sharp. Afterwords I spent about an hr with my brother throwing this tiny axe tomahawk style. The best part is this axe is weighted perfectly to be thrown and is small so it doesnt take much effort at all. It come wrapped in a nylon cord for a handle. The cord itself is actually quite long and can be uncorded to be used as a snare or whatever you could think to use it for in a survival situation. I promptly discarded said cord and swapped it out for 550 cord. This is not the axe you want if your going to be doin some heavy chopping while. it is to small and you dont build much kinetic force when swinging. But this is perfected for chopping woood for a small fire and such. Perfect for survival because of the light weight and the extra cord right at your finger tips. I love mine and intend to use whenever possible. Great buy at around $8.

Way to small for actual use. Maybe OK as a thrower but not for any serious tasks. Oh well at least it was cheap.

I bought this for my son who is 11. He loves it. It is a little smaller that I anticipated, but it is perfect for him. I am glad that it has a sheath.

So far for the price and size works like a big one, very sharp that even can shave you hair with it, light but effective

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy Little Tomahawk, May 26, 2011

If you're expecting to take this camping, I wouldn't suggest it. The rope (not paracord) doesn't come on the handle very securely, I retied it myself. It is nice to keep in the car and use if you need to make kindling or tender for a fire. Definitely isn't to sharp and you're not going to cut through thick wood. For it's price it's nice to keep in the car or drawrer at the house for small pieces of wood.. (or you could just use a knife!!!!)

Item received is not the same as item pictured...kind of disappointed to be honest. The one pictured looks a lot nicer than the one I received.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pass, March 7, 2011
This review is from: Tomahawk Full Tang Camp Combat Axe with Nylon Sheath
This tiny axe may be sharp and seemingly durable but it is NOT. Tomahawk products are cheap, usually dull and have terrible handles. If you ever use the axe for REALy work such as cutting trees, trunks and building shelters in the wild it will fail. Some may not notice but the handle and grip is literally just thick string wrapped around and tied to the neck of the axe (this is what passes it off as full tang) This string does not provide good grip, shock absorption or long lasting quality.
