5.0 out of 5 stars Good Price
Ok First off I didnt buy mine from this site. I own one of these though, same knife and same sheath. I personally paid $25 for mine so 9.99 is a great price.

Its heavy enough to be used on thick roots and trees (thats what i used mine for). sheath isnt the best but I wont carry this one I throw it in my car or my bag when I go camping.

All and all I...

I bought it because of the price and the sheath the sheath is nice as long as you don't really think you can use it on your back it holds the machete in and that's about it but the blade its self isn't bad nice and thick but needs a bit of sharpening and i mean needs it but for price really not bad it looks vary intimidating the handle should have been wood or plastic or...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great knife just cheap sheath., January 7, 2011

The knife is made of good materials, and is well balanced. I have no issues with the knife, just cheap sheath. The knife actually poked through the end asap, but was easy to fix and the strap was same way. Did not care much of the quality of the sheath so this was never a problem. The Knife on the other hand is great for clean tall brush and small shrubs. It is even better for my urban travels when someone thinks pulling a small knife is a good idea. This is a perfect attitude adjuster and quit intimidating. I think you would be satisfied with it as long as your not trying to cut down trees.

Nice quality, reasonable price. Well balanced. Thicker blade than most. Good lines. I bought it to use the blade in a pole arm (Naginata) as the cord wrapped handle makes for an easy conversion. I may buy another one to use as is. I recommend this model to anyone who likes a nice lite weight nice handling chopper.

4.0 out of 5 stars Effective, but could use improvement, May 23, 2011

Hello All,

I just picked up this Tomahawk Ninja machete knife last week and got to play with it a bit. I was mostly looking for something to bring with me on hikes or clearing brush but also wanted something with a bit of flare to it. This has a full tang design so its no likely to bust up to easily, it came decently sharp but i got in some time to personally sharpen it.

I will say that i have no love for the handle or the sheath. I'm thinking of tracing out the center, or perhaps making a mold, then making a wooden handle to put over it, we shall see how well it works if i get it looking pretty I will add a pic.

Its a good weight easy to maneuver and looks stylish. Also for the price its hard to argue with.

(also throw this puppy in your End of world bug out bag for some fun, nothing says "dont mess with me" like a ninja inspired machete)

5.0 out of 5 stars Name alone warrants five stars, January 11, 2011

This item, while it was a gift to someone else, turned out to be the most interesting item at Christmas and a regret to give away.

The name alone grants it five stars, but the blade design and extremely light weight really help keep it there. The blade is so light that it feels like you have a bowie knife in your hand, a blade that would be 4-6 inches shorter. The design is very ninja-esque which makes it comedic, yet still functional in some ways. I believe that the blade came a little too sharp for typical machete work too.

The handle is where the weight reduction takes place, and the handle isn't suitable for any type of long term cutting as it would shock your hand while cutting thick objects and blister it up cutting easy items. The owner taped it up with duct tape to fit their hand.

The sheath looked nice, but the shoulder loop on it quickly broke off and was re-sewn on.

Excellent durability and toughness for the price. I often use it to hack limbs off of trees and other such yardwork. Great full tang construction.

Machete is nice, feels solid, grip is good. But the sheath is literally garbage. The first time I pulled the machete out, the blade of the machete cut the single stitche line on the edge of the sheath, blowing out the side of it. Threw it away, will see about making a new one.

But it wouldn't handle well because in long use it would hurt your hand i may make it into a staff weapon i think it would be perfect for that or display or just to make you look tough but not for a whole lot of real use. All and all ok for price but expect to make changes.

3.0 out of 5 stars If they mess your order up expect to wait a month!, January 20, 2011

The item itself is just fine. However the seller I bought it from only sent two out of the five in the first shipment. After an email and four phone calls the product still had not arrived almost a month later. On the fifth phone call they told me it should arrive that day. It came four days after that... In the first three phone calls I was told I would be called or contacted back within the next 48 hours, this did not happen. I felt jerked around for weeks and would not buy from them again.

You get what you pay for...While its looks are quite fetching its funnctionality is lacking, unless your looking for a giant flimsy knife. The sheath leaves much to be desired and while its slicing capabilities are strong, as a chopper, its weight and balance fall quite short. But yes for 10 bucks it looks cool.
