She's a bad-ass,

This review is from: Tomb Raider 2 (CD-ROM)
This game is ridiculously addictive and excellent. I literally can't stop playing the thing. However, there are places where you could put yourself into a situation in which you have to go back and repeat the previous level in order to avoid a non-correctable error. Overall, very enjoyable, and even entertaining to watch someone else play. Graphics are fabulous.

The best of the TR series,
This review is from: Tomb Raider 2 (CD-ROM)
If you don't own this game and you like the TR series, I recommend buying it. It is such an improvement over TR (which is a great game) and it is much funnier than TR3 (too hard.) Lara kicks butt in this game and I love playing it.

A Sequel the Overshadows the Original,
By Chris W. (Kansas City, Missouri, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tomb Raider 2 (CD-ROM)
From the Great Wall of China to the canals of Venice, Tomb Raider II is the rare case in which a sequel is better than an original. In fact, I find this game to be my favorite of the series. In it the legendary Lara Croft sets out to find the Dagger of Xion. In her quest she navigates the globe, and even takes a couple of trips to strange and magical new worlds.Tomb Raider II offers significant improvements over the original, and its game play exceeds the other games that follow in the series. The game has drastically overhauled weapons and artificial intelligence. Though the puzzles are not as hard as later versions, they still are quite difficult. Lara has new moves, many new weapons, and more dangerous foes. What more could a Tomb Raider fan - or even the casual gamer - ask for? I highly recommend this game, whether you are an avid Tomb Raider fan or somebody new to the series. I don't believe you will be disappointed - in fact, you will probably find many hours of action filled entertainment. And if you do enjoy it, I strongly recommend other games in this series.

This is the first TR game I ever played, and its still my favorite of all of them. Although I am a little spoiled by the newer games, what with Lara's new and improved moves and all. this one still rocks!Tomb Raider II takes Miss Croft to China, Venice, and even the bottom of an ocean liner the Maria Doria among other places. Woah! This is a worthy sequel though. A few minutes worth of play and you'll forget how old the technonlgy is. You'll just be wrapped up in the game, and its exciting storyline. Among the more maddening levels are: the Opera House, 40 Fathoms, and the Temple of X'ian, which is incredibly loooong. I just love the way Tomb Raider, not just this one but all of them, coencides with geographical places. Its awseome man! Anyway, this is a game that is just completely out-of-this-world-great, that you should own. Its just the best.

I have to say, there were a few levels in the original Tomb Raider that were slightly boring, it was still a good, challenging game though. This second one was is just superb. The graphics have improved a lot and the animation is much smoother. Lara also responds to key commands better too. Plus, Lara no longer has her hair tied up. It swings around depending on what she's doing. More weapons have been added including harpoon guns for use underwater and heavy machine guns and explosives. She can climb and wade in water now too. She comes in different clothings depending on which area you are in. Now don't think that this game was popular because of the our female character, Lara Croft. This game in itself is fun and addictive. I can't really find a single level that was really that dull. I think maybe perhaps a few of the tibet levels were a bit of a mess. Other than that, the Venice and Underwater levels were fun and fascinating. This game doesn't do as much tomb raiding as the first game did. In fact, you only go tomb raiding near the end of the game. However you do get to explore a sunken ship, so i guess that's tomb-like. It's still a good game. The levels look as though they have all been thought out and carefull designed. I don't quite understand how some people cannot stand the puzzles and action in the game. If you're hoping this is another Doom, Heretic, Hexen, or Quake game, then you'll be disappointed. In no way is this a game where u mindlessly blow people away with gunfire. Tomb Raider 2 is a fun non-violent game with minimal amounts of blood. Those who enjoy shooting and killing creatures without much thinking and challenge involved can go play their doom games. This is something different and probably much better.

Not as much fun or as spooky as the original. Better graphics and now Lara has a braid, but the gameplay suffers from poor layout. I couldn't even finish the game

i loved the first tomb raider... and this one is even better. the story is great, very entertaining. the graphics are ok. and the gameplay is relatively the same as the first one. it's such a great adventure game, i love it. it has all the charm as the first one, but much more fun-ness.
if you liked the first one, definately get this one. it may have alot more puzzles but i like my games to be complicated... i mean would you like to play a game where you just push one button and theres 5 hours of cutscenes!!!! NO!!! i would guess... so get this and i know you'll love it:).

Tomb Raider 2 is one of the best TR games. It has an exciting plot, good graphics, excellent villians, and a lot of action. I love this game and play it frequently, and never get tired of it. A must have for all TR collectors!

Tomb Raider 2 was pure genius. From the Great Wall of China to Venice to the depths of the ocean to the snow-capped mountains and back to the Great Wall of China again, this game was a pure blast of ground-breaking excitement. You first start the game in a very simple, yet lo-o-ong level inside the Great Wall of China. This was the first Tomb Raider level I ever beat. It took me a week to beat it, but I beat it all right. I must say, it was a very good idea to make that the first level. Venice, the next level, was a bit harder, but I could beat it thanks to the confidence boost from the first level. Truth be told, you do not end the game with a dragon. Nope, there's more where that came from, and they've even followed you to your house to prove it! Yep, you get to go inside Lara's home and fight baddies while doing the assault course. Sound like fun? Tomb Raider 2 has to be one of the best Tomb Raiders of all time. I suggest picking it up. It is worth it, I promise.

This is a very good game. It should not be rated teen because there is alot of adventure in it. But there is alot of blood and gor. There is also alot of guns and it looks like you are killing real people. I would recomend this game for 11 and up to play this game. This game is pretty cool to play. This is my reveiw on Tomb Raider 2.
