Four newly discovered and previously untold adventures are revealed when the closest friends of the missing Lara Croft gather in her honor. As they reminisce about her past exploits, they learn new details about her life, as well as the lives of characters from her past adventures. Lara journeys from the ruins of Rome to the bowels of a German U-boat to the rooftops of a high-tech city in search of four ancient artifacts. An enhanced inventory system allows for greater combinations of a variety of weapons and items. Create your own adventure with the Tomb Raider level editor, which includes a tutorial level and all of the tools that are required to construct custom levels.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lara Croft revived and alive, December 8, 2000

This review is from: Tomb Raider Chronicles (Video Game)
For all Tomb Raider fans this is the swan song for the series. To start with the sound, graphics, and controls are are improved and updated. The graphics this time around in the four new worlds are oustanding that feeling of exploration is alive and well in this installment. Also the controls feel a little more intuitive than the last time out (dreamcast version). It is a very large game world rife with strange exotic sounds and visuals also this time around they have added a little thief technology and your stealth skills will allow you to pass by enemies that normally would have started a J. Woo style gunbattle in older versions of TR. I just saw the ad this morning for Angelina J. as Lara C. it appears as if the Motion Picture of TR is not going to disappoint fans of the series. The level editor is not available in the DC version like the above blurb states so beware. For all of us yearning for a real TR title for the DC strap on the 45s and start exploring its fun in here!

1.0 out of 5 stars amazon ripped me off, June 11, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Tomb Raider Chronicles (Video Game)
I went to this to see what kind of game this was and amazon told me it had a level editor, so i went out and got it for dreamcast and, what do you know? It turns out the level editor is only on the pc version. next time, get your information correct before you broadcast it nationwide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tomb Raider is a great ride, February 11, 2002

This review is from: Tomb Raider Chronicles (Video Game)
I love this game. While not as good as 1 or 2, it is light years ahead of 3 & 4. The 4 different sections helps add variety to the game.

The first section is a standard TR shoot em up and explore.

The second is similar to the first except there is a little more stealth involved in certain areas.

The third is a prequel where you play as teenage Lara trying to solve a ghostly mystery.

The fourth and Final section is basicly a full blown Metal Gear Solid type stealth level.
